The American manned space program has languished in low earth orbit since the Soviet's failed to reach the moon in the 1970's. Finally the United States is planning a permanent return to the moon. But the Soviets are out of the picture. However the Chinese space program is making great strides and Russia is anxious to partner with them to maintain their relevance.

Time for a healthy rant and some sticky overflowing sarcasm. After receiving four billion dollars Boeing has yet to fly an astronaut on Starliner and has once again postponed the first test flight. In the meantime with half the funding SpaceX had already flown sixteen astronauts into space on Starship and it charges less per flight. Kinda hard to justify continued funding for Boeing isn't it?

SpaceX is planning another launch platform in Florida which would bring its total to six. With plans to build Starlink, staff and supply the ISS, moon and Mars missions the added launch site is needed. But the need for hundreds of Raptor engines is even more critical. In other news NASA has awarded funds to three teams to design commercial space stations to replace ISS.
