Very worthwhile documentary about Ninoy Aquino's life and struggles to bring about democratic reforms in the Philippines

Solid documentary about Ninoy Aquino and his camarades' (fellow opposition workers) struggles to bring about democratic and government reforms during the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos. Riveting testimony from participants and colleagues of Aquino about the fateful days and moments leading up to Ninoy's assassination in 1983 and the historic non-violent "People-Power" revolution that arose from it.

Sometimes the narration gets a bit over-dramatic - much like some of the newscasters on Filipino nightly news - otherwise a very worthwhile program reminding us that budding democracies require vigilance and often dramatic struggle to uplift the many from authoritarian oppression.
