Pick and integer. If it's odd multiply by three and add one. If it's even divide by two. Apply the same process to the resulting number and so on and so on until your result it one. At least it's one for the billions and billions of number tested so far. But does every number converge to one? Some negative numbers do not but no one is sure about the positive numbers.—David Foss
