Continuity

Quinn is already driving the rig forward as Sarah and Thom escape onto the snow, yet the tracks are not moving as the pass them.

Revealing mistakes

When Thom and Sarah escape the sinking rig in the big snow-tractor, the audience is led to believe that this was the only way out and the only helicopter on the rig is clearly shown being destroyed, and yet a helicopter is clearly visible in the distant sky as the drive into the wilderness.
Those who have lived in the Yukon at a temperatures below minus 42 with nothing but a small wood stove for heat, laugh at the idea of having to abandon Britain due to temperatures falling to minus 40.
The cheerfully cavalier attitude of walking around with not much in the way of warm weather clothing, no hats and their coats undone seems remarkably out of place for those in a temperature on minus 40 in the final scene.
There is no reason why the control panel of the rig explodes into a shower of sparks,
Every five minutes, 90% of those in soaking wet clothing will die of exposure when exposed to minus 10 degrees. This is compound, so of those that survive the first 5 minutes, 90% will die in the second five minutes and so on... and yet, after swimming though an albeit warm pool, Sarah and Thom fight for their lives, drive off a snowy embankment and walk for many miles in sodden clothing in seriously subzero Arctic temperatures to get back to the rig. This is absolutely impossible.

Plot holes

There is no explanation of what happens to the lone cabinet minister who stays behind.
At one point, the news given on the screen states that Martial Law has been declared. About half an hour later, Paterson advises the Prime Minister that he should consider declaring Martial Law,
Since it was the daughter who disrupted the arrest of the Italian farm hand, there is no explanation why they arrested the mother instead.
If the small aircraft had a radio that could call England, there was no reason for anyone to bother even trying to use the complex satellite radio that the CIA left behind.

Character error

"Too bad, so sad" - Although Thom should be happy to have found his family, that Sarah died in front of him just a couple of minutes before makes his chirpiness seem uncharacteristically cold and callous.
