Both actors studied together and graduated from the University of Washington's Professional Actor Training Program, also known as the PATP.
The film was adapted from a one-person show called "Menu" that Shawn Telford had developed and written for this Master's Thesis at the University of Washington.
All of the interiors, including the apartment, were filmed in the Good Shepherd Center in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. The exteriors and flower shop were all filmed on Seattle's Capitol Hill.
The film was shot entirely in one day.
The 'shaker thingy' came from Hawaii.
