Both Unfair Science Fair episodes are very nostalgic for me. I remember Disney Channel Asia marketing this as a season finale episode. I remembered everything that happened in this episode when I was a kid, when I was a teenager who stopped watching the show and even before I started rewatching the series. The songs are very good (especially "Queen of Mars) and well animated (especially "Baliwood" ). The characters, from those with major roles down to the ones with very few lines, are vary lovable. All of them showed what true friendship is. As for Doofenshmirtz and Perry, their stories were hilarious. Seeing then shopping was really fweel, though pointless to the plot. We also get to know more about Baljeet and his "love/obsession" with good grades. I don't know if that's a stereotype or not but I loved him in this episode.
When 'Phineas and Ferb' first started to air, Disney Channel was nowhere near as good as it used to be and still isn't. Instead of the likes of the animated Disney shows of the 80s and 90s, most of it was and still is animated shows with childish humour and Disney Channel sitcoms and unfortunately it tended to not be the good ones. This continued throughout the whole of 'Phineas and Ferb's' run to the extent that this became one of the few shows airing on the Channel worth watching.
Of the two episodes "Unfair Science Fair" and "Unfair Science Fair Redux", the former is to me the better of the two and was a lot of fun. While sort of liking the latter, for primarily the Perry and Doofenschmirtz subplot, the former was great and had the infinitely better main plot. Neither are among the best 'Phineas and Ferb' episodes and had potential to be better than they were, especially "Unfair Science Fair Redux" which actually sounded a little more original.
Both episodes are a little on the manic side, while "Unfair Science Fair Redux" is a little too derivative and silly in the main plot. Also thought Candace to be on the annoying side.
The Perry and Doofenschmirtz subplot though was fun with some amusing lines from Doofenschmirtz, also liked how it connected so well with their subplot in "Unfair Science Fair". The visuals have some lovely little things and their chemistry here is a delight, even more so than the witty yet somewhat cute one they had in "Unfair Science Fair".
It is that episode which is the better of the two, while formulaic the main plot works much better here where the humour hits more consistently and is sharper and funnier and revolving around a very imaginative invention incorporated inventively. Really liked how eager to help Phineas and Ferb are and Baljeet is rootable for anybody who has been in similar situations. he animation is still wonderfully vibrant with very rich attention to detail. The music is dynamic with the action and the theme song is insanely catchy with very clever and quotable lyrics that anybody still in school fishing for how to spend their vacation will relate to.
As to be expected, the right balance of being easy to understand for children while not being too juvenile for adults is successful. The characters are strongly written and the voice acting is without issue.
Concluding, very enjoyable though one episode is better than the other. 8/10

Unfair Science Fair was great, but not so much about Redux. Throwing a tantrum about studying on Mars?! Stupid scientist!

- TriviaCandace asks Ferb to tell the aliens that she wants a little time to herself. Ferb then relays that message in the "Martian" language, which is really English played backwards. The Martian replies, and Ferb translates the reply as "They say 'fine', but not without them." What makes the whole conversation odd is that if you play Ferb's "Martian speak" backwards, he says in backwards-English TO the Martian, "They say 'fine', but not without them" - he's actually giving the answer as the question.
