Really Great Show
SuperCap24 August 2022
I like the original show and the German version, so I started watching this Brazil version as soon as being streamed. I really enjoyed this show, Brazil Fab5 is just as good as American Fab5 and German Fab5. Rica, Luca, Fred, Yohan, Guto, they are all very cute and warm-hearted. I like them all.

The first episode makes me cry. I see my mom in that lady and I wish someone would remake her. However that's never gonna happen because my mom and my entire society don't believe in LGBTQ+ which makes me terribly sad.

I'll keep watching show. Hope Netflix will make more of it and promote to other counrties.

Great makeover show, not as USA version

I rated this seven, first then changed to 8, because it's still a pretty captivating series.

Someone complained that the transformations aren't very radical. They're not, that's true. But I think that Brazil is ultimately more conservative culturally and I think that's just how it goes.

The transformations are more personal and in the heart, I think, than flashy outward changes.

If I had to rank the (Netflix) series, I'd go the original Netflix Fab 5, then Germany, then Brazil.

I still think this is a really watchable series and I love it too. The health guy talks food but also fitness, mental health, etc, and he's a (hottie!) real doctor and former physiotherapist, so I enjoy his perspective. It's a bit different than the others.

But I do NOT like the stylist very much. Some of his choices are so bad. But maybe that's just Brazil being a different style vibe. Still... dubious on him.

Hated it then loved it

I was looking for a follow on from the main US series so tried this one.

I dont mind saying I started hating it in the first 5 min of watching it. I cant say exactly what I didnt like, it just didn't feel right. But I kept on. By the end of the first episode I thawed out. By the end of the second I was in tears.

If you're an English speaker, give this version a chance, its as good as its US counterpart. Perhaps it was a case of cultural divide, people in Brasil not being what I expected, the way they talked to each other felt sort of alien. This is as heartfelt as the original and deserves a watch.

Get the hankies ready

So fabulous to see how the QE concept translates to different cultures and across continents. The Brazil QE is by far my favourite. The fab 5 are, like their German and American sisters, super likeable and genuine. Tears flowed for episode 1, 2 and 3. The show captures the Brazilian joie de vivre and is very relatable on so many levels. I'm gonna totally binge watch the rest of the season. More please Netflix!

The Weakest Installment of the Show so far

Warning: Spoilers
While I love Queer Eye, and I loved its German vresion as well, here I feel the production missed out a bit. The cast is nice, and the heroes lovable, but the editing felt messy and jumpy, I felt the makeover bits were rushed, and I felt I didn't develop the love for the cast or heroes as I had in the other version, so that I can get excited about their makeover. Also, the cooking part was really rushed and felt offhanded, and even then - they mostly made sauces, if anything. There was very little grooming and skincare, and the hairdresser mostly dyed people's hair. It felt more like there were three life coaches, one internal designer we hardly got to see, and a fashion guy.
