For the LKA target investigator Sunny Becker, the hunt for the prison escape Haffner is a personal mission. She is struggling with her own trauma and hopes to be able to overcome it by arresting the sex offender and women murderer. Sunny pushes aside doubts of the LKA management about their resilience as well as concerns of their partner Alex Reuter. She also conceals the circumstances of her almost fatal encounter with the felon from LKA boss Barbara as well as from her superior Ralf. This is under massive pressure not only because of previous unsuccessfulness, but also because of an internal suspicion: How can it be that Haffner is always one step ahead of his hunters? Is there a "rat" in the sworn search team? While the hunted feels safe, Sunny uses a daring ruse to provoke him. However, Haffner reacts in his own way: ice cold, refined and threatening.
