In the same Chopin piece Eric is playing, there is one more issue other than a sound problem mentioned. There is a bass line in the beginning of each measure of the piece. This would require Eric to move his hands every 3 beats towards the bottom of the piano, and the right hand should be playing on the upper portion of the piano. However, the actor keeps both hands in the center the entire time.
When Eric is first shown from behind playing Chopin, when he lifts his hands from the keyboard to respond to being spoken to, the piano continues playing...doh.
When Eric is waiting outside of Abby's tent before they get started at 6:30AM, there is a shot of Half Dome which is in Yosemite National Park in California not in Alaska.
