- The show features guest performances by Joss Stone and Selena Gomez, along with a college-themed number featuring the USC Trojan Marching Band with dancers from Stomp the Yard.
- After an extremely close scoring night, particularly toward the bottom of the leaderboard, the question of who would be going home on "Dancing with the Stars" on Tuesday was up in the air.
To the highlights: During the look back at Monday's performances, Model Joanna Krupa and actress Melissa Joan Hart got the judges excited, but snowboarder Louie Vito brought about disappointment. Debi Mazar and Maksim Chmerkovskiy's love-hate relationship helped their tango cause. Politician Tom DeLay nearly dropped partner Cheryl Burke and Model Kathy Ireland let the judges down with another safe performance. Kelly Osbourne felt like "crap" after wowing the judges in the first week. This time, she made several mistakes they pointed out. Donny Osmond defied age with his upbeat jive, but singer Aaron Carter stole the show with a quickstep that scored three 9s in the second week of competition and Mya landed a score of 27, as well.
Play it again...: Guest judge Baz Luhrmann requested the encore performance of the night, calling Mya and Dmitry's jive a "knockout."

To the results: For the first time this season, the audience would learn exactly which two couples landed in the bottom two. But first, host Tom Bergeron announced that Donny & Kym were the first couple safe to dance again next week. Joining them would be Mya & Dmitry, as well as Aaron & Karina. The remaining 11 couples were separated by just three points, which Tom called "the closest we've ever been this early in the competition."
Be our guest...: Singer Joss Stone paid a visit to perform "Free Me," the first single from her new album, "Colour Me Free." Later, teen sensation Selena Gomez and The Scene stopped by to sing "Falling Down." Stone came back later to perform her cover of "Son of a Preacher Man."
Back to the results: After a little package about life at the "Dancing" training center, we got back to some results. In no particular order, Tom and co-host Samantha Harris revealed the fate of a few more couples. Mark & Lacey were safe. Natalie & Alec were safe, as well. Debi & Maks were still in jeopardy.
Later, Tom revealed that Joanna & Derek were safe. Michael & Anna were also safe. That meant seven couples were safe, Debi & Maks were in danger and just one point separated the remaining six couples.
After another commercial break, Chuck & Anna were declared safe. Melissa & Mark were also returning. Kelly & Louis were safe, and Louie & Chelsie were still in jeopardy.
Another featurette showed the dancing pros trying to break their celebrity partners of their bad habits.
Getting back to the results, Tom announced that Tom & Cheryl were safe. Kathy & Tony, however, were still in jeopardy, along with Debi & Maks and Louie & Chelsie.
The bottom two: The bottom three couples heard the daunting recounting of their situation. Debi & Maks had the highest score of the remaining three couples. Kathy & Tony were the lowest, having disappointed the judges with her conservative performances. Louie & Chelsie impressed the judges with Louie's athleticism, but they felt he could do better. The safe couple was Louie & Chelsie.
Carrie Ann said she was surprised that Debi & Maks landed in the bottom two.
Tom finally announced that the couple leaving in the second week of the competition was Kathy & Tony. Kathy said she "wouldn't change a moment" of her experience.
