When the Telkis technician brings back the phone, he says it is impossible to crack because it is protected by TrueCrypt. That software was discontinued in 2014, so it is unlikely that it was used instead of e.g. VeraCrypt, especially given the environment the series takes place in.
When Gabriel is shot with the taser, he wears a shirt and a jacket.
In the bathroom scene where Alison removes the lancets, they are in direct contact with Gabriels skin. It would not be possible removing the shirt without the lancets at the same time.
