Very Entertaining, A Great Choice of Host!

The Weakest Link

Reboot!

Got off to a ropey start, the reason for the success of the show is "dog eat dog", I'm not sure a "jokey" celebrity show was a good start for a relaunch. However it was much better in episode 2 as it found its feet. Ramesh does a good job but the questions need to be hard and he needs to be mean, very mean.

The natural format of the show creates rivalries and tensions and these clearly emerged as the series progressed.

Okay, overall it was a really great show and Romesh was a great choice, I look forward to the next series with clever Joe public in the place of these irritating luvies! Sharpen your teeth Romesh and go for the jugular, king of mean is the way to go!

Our modern trend of bringing back old shows continues!

The BBC's need for diversity means that Romesh Ranganathan gets the nod as host, and the format rolls on like it's never been away.

I actually am quite enjoying it. Ranganathan is quite good as host, and while it'd be nice to see him pitted up against members of the general public rather than celebs, I think this could do well.

Surprisingly good

Daytime quiz shows seems to be where somewhat mediocre comedians and presenters are put out to grass. Reviving old formats often has a short life. Until now I hadn't really rated Romesh, IMO coming across as somewhat jaundiced and miserable, but here he shines with great timing, pace and an endless stream of puns. He makes the show exciting, well paced and seems to be totally in control, very rarely stumbling or making mistakes. He doesn't make the common error of exaggerating/false excitement in the trivial. Good clear intonation and generally well polished. I just get a bit fed up with quiz shows with gloomy blue lighting.

Dreadful

I was interested to see what this was like but never thought it would be this bad. I can't believe this man is a comedian, it was incredibly dull, all the celebs are now praised for how well they have done and sadly asked to leave. Of course we can't possibly offend anyone in the slightest so it is basically meant for someone with the humour of a 5 year old. I suppose good to watch with kids if you don't fall asleep. I don't know why we have to have constant shows with celebrities either. What happened to real people we can relate to.

Ruined by romesh

I enjoyed the original series with Anne Robinson, Anne was the original Simon cowell

Her posh accent added gravitas to the show

And Her put downs were famous ,and regularly talked about by the press

The new version with romesh is a real let down Romesh is not funny, And his catty comments are tame and predictable

The problem with romesh is he's just not funny or even likeable

His attempts at humour Fall flat, he tries to be quirky like Richard ayoade, or laddish , and fails at both

Another thing he does is say something deliberately unfunny or pedestrian and then he looks at the contestants expecting them to Pity laugh, sad

When romesh does stand up comedy he only talks about race,

he obviously can't do this on a BBC quiz show so he doesn't have much to offer

The BBC obviously care More about being PC then entertaining the public , this is the reason for choosing romesh

This is what the BBC have repeatedly done, ruined classic series and replaced them with pc , then they wonder why their viewing figures are down.
