Kalyan Ram invested everything in Bimbisara. He put his heart and soul into the film. As such Kalyan Ram is seen throughout the film. He came up with a spirited performance. He looked menacing as the cruel king Bimbisara. His dialogue delivery is powerful and made an impact and his body language suited it perfectly. His expressions are good but one gets a feeling that he should have blinked his eyelids. He did all the roles, be it Bimbisara, Devdatta, or the modern-day youngster without blinking his eyelids. Had he done so, expressions would have made an even more powerful impact.

Catherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon gave good performances.

Srinivasa Reddy and Vennela Kishore receive notable roles, and they both successfully defend them.

The rest of the star cast do justice and come up with commendable performances.

Post production mess

I really wonder if the movie underwent any post production work? The coloring for the present scenes is nil and is a pain to watch. The locations are clearly shown to be sets. Ofc the movie had serious budget constraints but can just hope a little more would be spent on the coloring.

The genre has been one long lost in telugu cinema and it's fun to watch this genre again. Can just say it's good, BUT COULD HAVE BEEN WAY BETTER.

Overall it's a good movie

Kalyan Ram did justice to his role. MM Keervani music and Vashista direction well. Few scenes creates interest to involve in the movie. But movie could be better than present. No importance to both heroines, Rajeev Kanakala and Prakash Raj family members. Few Jabardasth actors there but not used them well. Luckily this movie was hit but director need to think about characters, if they don't have any importance or at least some use don't keep that characters. Graphics are just ok. Didn't convince scenes with Prakash Raj and family members.

Mediocre Masala

The plot of the movie is intriguing, and the characters offer an interesting dynamic.

However, the screenplay falls into traditional tropes, lacking freshness and originality.

Kalyan Ram is well-suited for the role, displaying a pleasing appearance, but his performance could have been better. Nonetheless, his dedication and hard work shine through.

Catherine appears to be out of shape, while Samyukta's portrayal comes across as artificial. Warina's song is okay.

Ayyappa Sharma and the other actors perform well in their respective roles.

The production values are decent, although certain shots with visual effects do not meet expectations.

The cinematography is commendable, capturing visually appealing scenes.

Music and editing, however, could have been improved for a more impactful experience.

It is recommended to watch this film in theaters, but without setting high expectations.

A different time travel movie

Nice story First half is fully involving and 2ns half it seems story deviated from the main theme. 2nd half should have been better.

Well, I went with no expectations. But movie turned out to be great. Director did a great job in entertaining the audience for 2.5 hours and Kalyanram did a great job as king.

Great concept pathetic acting

Good concept with poor acting, movie taking wasn't that great but concept was good that runs this movie. There is a scene in this movie that guy was killed by vehicles, first the guy was missed by two buses and then hit by a car and dead... there was a chance which he can escape between buses and the car but guy stay still in middle road until he hit by a car that shows how this film taking quality. Overall one time barely watchable. That villain character acting was very pathetic he's like over reacting on everything. Movie taking suitable for normal audience. Concept like these time travel gr.

Bimbisara Movie Review: It Feels Like An Abandoned Rajamouli Film

I know the heading sounds harsh, but I partly mean it as a compliment. And as for the other part, I meant to be, well, harsh. I think you'll agree with me, too. Here's the story writer-director Vasishta has chosen to tell.

A ruthless king Bimbisara gets rid of his opponents, including his own twin brother Devadatta to rule the Trigartala Kingdom. He doesn't stop even if he has to kill children. He's a despot, but he also leaves you in awe with the sheer power he commands. One day Devadatta reemerges and dethrones Bimbisara and sends him through a magical portal into the modern world. This despot now must adjust and learn to be human in today's Hyderabad, while also protecting his descendants. The anti-hero finally becomes the hero Trigaratala and his descendants need.

Kalyan Ram acting is good - Low budget apparent

I am glad some fans find it 10/10 but this is 10, what would we give to Baabubali and other great movies? Someone, as I did, could mistake this movie as a historical story but this is pure fiction. Kalyan Ram is seen in almost every frame of the movie and his effort is commendable. Film sets look cheap and not realistic - especially where the Bimbisara's treasure is hidden (low budget impact). Catherin Tresa role is very weak and in fact other characters come and go without much role or impact.

Absolute zero for the director

To start off, Kalyan Ram has been stunning. He is now legitimately in the race. With the right story and execution can perform well in the Telugu states and beyond.

Coming to the movie, so predictable story.. zero twists and turns. Went to the movie and brought all my friends along. Everybody dozed off in the movie. So boring. The topic is so exciting..that of time travel. Please see Aditya 369 on how they created such excitement so long ago about time travel. While this movie has nothing. Why were the heroines so cheaply portrayed? Specially the female cop. Why would you create something so cheap for such a noble profession?

I feel so raged to have bought into the fake hype.

Good Movie to watch

Watched this movie on Zee5. Normally I do not finish to the end most of the movies. As there are lot of choices, I watch the first half hour and drift to other movies. This movie held my attention till the end. Actor Kalyan Ram has done a great job of portraiting the historic character Bimbisara. Good movie to watch till the end. The switch between current world and historic world through a passage through mirror (Dharpanam ?) is interesting. Kalyan Rams question on ' E lokam ithi' is funny. Super hero attacking 100 goons with dangeros weapons is in thsi movie also. Apart from all this , the movie is good. Songs are catchy tune. No importance for heroine.

The biggest strength of this movie is the story and the superb fantasy angle. The biggest negative is the poor CG and inappropriate slow motion sequences.

There are too many mass moments and unnecessary commercial elements. These all elements dragged the flow and added more than 30 mins of unwanted commercial substances in the movie.

Two heroines, over sentiment songs and lengthy gravity defying fights spoil the whole fun of the story.

One time watchable for the good story.

Entertaining

The movie is fun to watch, but could have been far better. The basic plot was actually really good. Sadly they messed up the script by a great margin. Direction was also rather weak. They should have watched Wonder Woman before writing the script, as that could have helped to create the perfect scenarios for this movie. After all, most of the Indian movies steal the ideas from Hollywood movies. Why not this one? This movie also had plenty of characters that were not needed. They literally played no role in the story. Both the girls were also there probably only for the songs. But I really like that they came up with something new. It was interesting overall.

It's a very good movie in recent days. I really enjoyed it with my family. Kalyan sir acting is superb. Keeravani music was next level. Please go and watch it in theatres.

Everything is bad except Kalyan Ram

Story and concept are good. But still story had the scope of more development to become extraordinary. All making standards are stuck back in 2010. Cinematography, Lighting, scene compositions, are garbage. Production Design is literally irritating. VFX can be forgiven if any of the above aspects are good. Few songs are unnecessary. Kalyan Ram solely pulled off with his extraordinary performance. The work of crew should be blamed. The cinematographer Chota K Naidu has no improvement in his work, his work stuck in 2005.

Nice work and plot

I watched only 4 movies in theatres last 9 years. (Bahubali2, rangasthalam, frozen 2 and vaikuntapuramlo) I hardly go to a theatre, but this movie drawn my attention, two reasons. Movie plot and Kalyan Ram(my first movie of his). I didn't regret watching, VFX and scene very well coordinated almost all over. Huge respects to Kalyan Ram, he is underdog. He put his heart, and i would have never imagined any other actor as "BIMBISARA". I fell in love with the character. Hero carried on his shoulder till the end. I would like to see part 2. Between, i am a great fan of periodic events and ancient history.

Comparing with Sita Raman , this bimbisara movie not best in this no emotional scene etc.

Movie was too good and director did a fantastic job. Kalyan ram sir acting is next level. Superb background score and I liked the film with deep excitement. Please go and watch it in theatres. Avoid piracy. We have not seen this level of excitement in recent days. And screenplay was good. I don't have anything in mind but just enjoy it in theatres.

Just trying to make some noise without context, guys one genuine request please do your own stuff, this movie absolutely sucks, time travel, seriously ? No relation with any of the scenes, the cop(heroine) does randomly meet on a fight, its 2022 stop shooting these kind of movies which is not worth it. I'm really dissatisfied with this movie. I don't see any kind of creative here it just feels like a copy BGM of baahubali, any one watching this will be so confused in what is really happening. I would not watch this movie again and really it was a mistake. Telugu industry will deprecate soon with these kind of movies.

Good movie with excellent screen play. Hero heroine did justice to their role excellent background music direction was too good mainly VFX making a movie with small budget with great VFX is truly amazing.
