- Welcome back to Wisteria Lane. We open with a dead woman informing us that Bree is still having an affair. This leads to a long list of excuses to coworker Katherine ("Gotta get my pearls restrung!"). But on this particular morning, Bree discovers that Katherine has already done all the baking. "You don't need to do this whole luncheon yourself!" Bree says. Why is Katherine so energetic? "I'm in love!" she says. With Mike! That's a problem as Mike just married Susan. "They're not even sleeping with each other," Katherine says. Her proof: the light in their house was on at 3 a.m. Katherine, in other words, is confident that Susan doesn't do it with the lights on.
Cut to folks gallivanting up and down Wisteria Lane. All of them have dark secrets, we're told via dead-woman narration. Inside the home of Angie, for example, Danny announces that he's thinking of quitting school. Turns out everyone at school thinks Danny is the "perv that attacked Julie." Mom convinces him to suck it up -- then warns Nick to keep the boy happy or he might just say something stupid. Lynette, in the meantime, worries that her boobs have become too big. Tom doesn't seem to mind. "The Supremes are back!" he quips. Lynette isn't joking around, though. What if Carlos notices? Speaking of Carlos, he's getting an earful from Gabrielle, who complains that the kids used her $300 perfume to take a bath. She then notices John pull up outside -- with Ana in the car! "John offered to give me a ride," the teenager explains. Once Ana is safely inside, Gabrielle gives John some of that signature sass, reminding him that the girl is in high school. She has homework to do, for Marc Cherry's sake! "I remember it," John deadpans. "I think you used to help me with mine." Rascal!
Cut to the hospital, where Andrew has brought Julia flowers. He accidently reveals that Julia quit medical school six months ago. Ooops! Susan is FURIOUS, especially when she finds out that her daughter has been waiting tables. But it gets worse. Andrew folds under further questioning, revealing that Susan's daughter is seeing a married man. Back at the Solis household, the kids have discovered "mints" with packaging revealing that they are "ribbed for her pleasure." Gabrielle confronts Ana, who claims that she hasn't had sex with John yet. "I love him," Ana says. Gabrielle FREAKS out.
Angie, in an effort to keep Danny happy, corrals Porter -- offering the boy a bribe to organize a party for her son. "Invite a few people," Angie urges. "Maybe some cute girls." Porter thinks he can handle it. Over at Global Group Venture, Carlos has noticed Lynette's oversized Supremes (perhaps because she is wearing a low cut, super-tight shirt -- odd). "She got implants!" Carlos exclaims. He then tells Lynette that he knows about her secret. "You know about the twins?" she says. "Tom got me drunk and the next thing I knew ..." It's a classic sitcom misunderstanding! But it soon falls apart as Carlos asks Lynette to urge Gabrielle to also get a boob job. Lynette decides to play along for the moment and keep her pregnancy a secret.
Cut to Susan, who has torn her daughter's room apart and "run across" a journal. The married man is referred to only as "D." Mom goes to visit her daughter, but is warned not to ask questions. Of course, Susan can't help herself. "If you want, I could tell your boyfriend that you're better," mom says. Julie, who is exhausted, asks her mom to leave. The next morning, Katherine confesses to Bree to spying on Mike and Susan again (Susan went to bed early; Mike watched a ballgame on TV). The two argue and Katherine is quick to point out that Bree is never around any more to bake. "I am tired of carrying you!" she exclaims. Bree solves the problem by forcing a leave of absence on Katherine.
Gabrielle heads to the restaurant to confront John. But it's soon revealed that the former lawn boy has only been testing Gabby. "I was flirting with her to see if you still cared," John says. He comes in closer and leans in for a kiss. At that EXACT moment, Ana enters -- and believes that she sees illicit shenanigans. Ana storms out. Gabrielle rushes home to find the girl crying on the stairs. "What you saw wasn't what you thought it was," the older woman declares. Ana threatens to tell Carlos, so Gabby confesses to the decade-old affair. "A lot of people got hurt, but we survived it," she says. She urges the girl not to tell her uncle. Just then, Carlos arrives back home. Will Ana rat out Gabby? No. Ana tells Carlos that she wants to quit her job.
Danny and Angie, meanwhile, have a heart-to-heart chat. He urges mom to get the scar on her back removed and blames dad for being careless with money. She reminds him that dad stuck by her after the "explosion." He promises that someday he'll make a lot of money and always take care of her. It's almost touching, but Angie appears worried. Carlos, in the meantime, has a big client on the hook. It just so happens that the clients took notice of Lynette while visiting the office -- and were mighty impressed with the Supremes. So, Carlos arranged a business dinner for everyone involved, giving Lynette the company credit card so that she could buy a revealing dress. And it is VERY revealing. "How much did it cost?" he asks. Snaps Lynette: "My dignity." Fair enough.
Over at Bolens, the party is raging. Naturally, Nick is busy flirting with girls (less than) half his age. That doesn't sit well with Danny, who approaches the creepy old man with news. "I know," Danny whispers. Nick is SHOCKED. Cut to the Scavos, where Lynette tells Tom about the power of her breasts. "They signed the deal on the spot!" she says. "So why are men so obsessed with these things?" Tom admits that he is a breast man, which worries Lynette because she usually isn't this busty. "If you didn't have this one flaw, I'd spend every moment of every day wondering, 'What the heck is she doing with me?'" he says. Lynette is happy. "Well done," she says.
But there are other subplots to address! Katherine shows up at a wedding reception to help Bree. The former tells the latter that she misses her job and her friend. "I can't lose both," Katherine explains. The pair hug. All seems peachy until Katherine notices the bride's cake. It comes from a design by Katherine -- one Bree showed the bride without consulting her partner. "That's MY cake -- the one I designed for my wedding," Katherine says. "Mine and Mike's." So Katherine rushes the cake, trying to destroy it. A comical chase ensues and ends with a noisy off-screen CRASH! Uh oh.
Susan heads back to the hospital, where mom tries to convince Julie to reveal her boyfriend. "I broke it off," daughter tells mother. Susan takes that as motive. Perhaps this married man assaulted her? Julie doesn't believe it. She also refuses to give "D's" full name because it would make trouble for him at home. Julie then announces that she is not "perfect" anymore. "I never expected you to be perfect, but I didn't raise you to be this stupid," Susan says. "You know what an affair like this can do. You saw it first hand." True dat.
The next morning, Bree fires Katherine for the cake incident. "You have got to give up this obsession with Mike before it ruins your life," Bree says. "You need help. Counseling." Katherine, who is FURIOUS, hands over her company keys, but not before slowly SCRAPING them across the paint job of Bree's immaculate car. Friendship over, we guess. In the episode's final moment, Nick visits Julie in the hospital. "Hey, Julie, it's Dominick," he whispers to the sleeping girl. "I miss you." Creepy.
