Disturbing

But riveting; I even wonder if the director was under Micheal Haneke's influence to make this short film. It remains a mystery to explain the reason why this father behaves like this. Nearly like a Viking to punish his enemies. Strange, disturbing, but worth watching.

a pit

Warning: Spoilers
A pit becoming grave.

A man hard working to a bizarre project , helped by his daughter. The tension, the stress of young woman and her try to solve the problem. The reaction of her old man. Her radical decision.

Easy to see the final gesture of man feeded by depression, illness , madness of pressure of deep loneliness, existential crisis or simple decision to define, in precise manner, his end.

All seems more than familiar, from cinematography to the hole as sacrifice altar.

And the decision of woman is the only reasonable answer to a reality escaping her.

A film of atmosphere less than expression of story. Beautiful crafted, interesting told.
