Surprise at finding him after opening the front door, after the house had taken off. Carl ask Russell how he got on the porch, Russell said, he had chase the "Snipe" under the porch. But as the house goes up we see the front, including the porch, and bottom of the house. Other following scene like passing the window cleaner, the reverse reflection from the window, and shots with the birds showing the bottom of the house as well as the porch does not appear to have Russell in it. I believe that this to be a continuity error.
When Carl steps out of his porch in the morning and reveal his lone house surrounded by constructions we see the TV antenna hooked up to his chimney. However after he is brought home by the Policewoman from court, there is an exterior front shot of the house, you can clearly see the antenna silhouette and as the light transition into morning the antenna disappears.
