When the victim's body is first shown, in close up shots, her left leg is twisted in a tyre and that shoe is missing. In the full length shot that follows, her right leg is in the tyre and her left is elevated on some kind of crate.
The Coroner smugly asks Jane how much forensic training he has, as flaunting his superior qualifications. However as a Coroner and not an ME he is also just a civilian consultant. Medical Examiners receive specialised training in forensics, but basically anybody can become a Coroner.
