Can't hear you

The sound is so bad on this movie. Everything from the music to the cars and computer keyboards are louder than the voices of the actors.

Movie is very drawn out.

Boring and predictable
ebri-119 March 2022
In spite of the quick cuts between scenes the story is boring and predictable, we know more or less everything at the beginning, and no surprieses are coming. Also nobody feels real. Actors seem to come from a commercial, with limited gestures. Seems like a Hallmark TV movie in their worst efforts.

Romantic scenery is not enough for a romantic vibe
MireilleR26 July 2022
No matter how much cliche romantic scenery you use, that doesn't mean the movie itself has a romantic vibe.

Some of that scenery was very fake and even amateurish by the way (green screen), like the scene where the leads were sitting on the beach. There was a strange white glow visible around them.

For me the male lead just didn't work. Sure, he is tall, dark and somewhat handsome, but not attractive in any way. He has no romantic energy or even hardly any energy at all.

And, though this might sound superficial, the thick dark hair plus the dark beard plus the strict eyebrows is a bit much for me in this kind of movie. I can hardly see his face, so I was kept at a distance.

Not worth the trouble, unless you want to have a laugh, because of the ridiculous clothing choices (leather jacket, boots) and very bad acting (hot sand?) during the pier scene.

Good on paper but is missing something

Just like the Love Map app, this movie is great in theory but lacks a bit of magic. The story is fine, locations are stunning and the characters are lovely ... but the sound just doesn't work. The two leads are mumbly and they seem to either talk or act but not at the same time - it feels a bit like they are still rehearsing the scenes, and not quite there yet which is distracting and slightly restricts the chemistry. Because of this, the older couple totally outshine them so the movie is a bit off kilter. However, I would watch sequels with the different B&B visitors etc and/or Avery and Ian on their travels.
