This film is a standalone sequel and conclusion to a webseries of zombie films made by Jack Hillebrecht and Ryan Woods made as children. Hillebrecht, Woods, Lightner, and Hamilton reprise their roles from previous Rise of the Dead projects. Additionally, archival footage of a previous film plays over the opening credits - including a younger version of Lighter's character as well as Annika Helgeson.
