It's unfortunate Susan becomes awkward again, but season 6 really is one of my personal favorites of the series. The Boleyn family are the perfect decoy, to soften the disgust some of the leads inspired. In « Never Judge a Lady by Her Lover » Danny is falsely accused for Julie's attack. And obviously, it is an episode where Susan is at her worst. And made me understand the hate this character usually gets from fans. I don't care if she's angry and scared, and needs to find the perfect culprit. The way she badmouthed the Boleyn family, and tried to get Danny crushed under the car, made me regret Angie didn't knock her out with that baseball bat. By making her look paranoid, Mike came across as the reasonable one of the situation. Which is a good thing, because he really needed to look sympathetic at that point. This Karl/Bree affair, is cringeworthy. And is one of the many things that made her character weak, after season one, for me. Even though the scene where she makes Orson and Karl's bimbo slip and fall, always make me laugh. Her reasons for doing that, are those that make me cringe. Tom and Lynette's arc served as Carlos and Gabby's own storyline for the episode. And as much as they are my favorite couple on the show, John is clearly the one that got away for her. And the scenes at his restaurant, are my favorite and most hilarious parts of the whole episode. The closing scene is very satisfying too. You see Susan feeling guilty for rattling the snake, and mending fences with Angie. Which was also helped making her character tolerable again. For now, at least...
