A fake elevator had to be built on set because the camera angles that director Isaac Ezban wanted to use were impossible for a real elevator.
Taly Szydlo and William Wolff, the lead actors in the film, were actually a couple in real life at the time of the shooting, and they broke up just some weeks after it. They still make jokes about how the cookie of the film might had something to do with the ending of their relationship.
To secure one of the shooting locations (the sushi restaurant), director Isaac Ezban had to show to the manager of the place a fake version of the screenplay, on which the story followed a couple that got in love because of a fortune cookie they got at the restaurant, instead of bleeding to dead.
