Let me start by saying that on it's own, this show is pretty good. It was definitely one of my faves. As far as I can remember, the acting wasn't too cheesy and the show was pretty interesting. But...One day I was in the library and happened to brush by a book titled "Confessor". Of course, I'm like "Holy Crap, the show is based on a book?" Come to find out, it is the 11th book in the series and Terry Goodkind is still writing about Richard and Kahlan!!!....Anyway, as soon as I started reading the book, I HATED the show. I'm well aware that Hollywood deviates from books, but this was so far off the wall, I wanted to slap the writers of the show. I would love to see the writers of "Game of Thrones" take "The Sword of the Truth" series and turn it into a show, I think they would do it the justice it deserves.... So to sum it up: If you're a reader, READ the books AVOID the show. If you'd rather watch the show, go ahead but don't read the books cause it'll just ruin your opinion of the show.
