Jeremy Stutes (director) wanted the physical relationship between the actors to feel as authentic as possible. Chris Wegoda (Glenn) filmed in an isolated studio positioned directly above Jennie Pines (Andrea). During filming, the actors communicated using Zoom.
At the time of filming, Jennie Pines and Chris Wegoda were dating. The funny faces they make in the credits are from when the camera was left rolling and they were flirting with each other over Zoom.
The idea of "ground control" was taken literally. In order to make the the character of Glenn, played by Chris Wegoda, feel more isolated, he was given a much smaller space to work in, and Jeremy Stutes often chose to direct Chris from the ground floor of the studios over Zoom, rather than in-person.
Feeling Alone debuted as part of "BCT Shorts 2021 - Zoom Edition." The format was chosen due to health risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Bangkok Community Theatre is the largest and longest running English-language community theatre group in Thailand.
