Patrick, Caroline, and their eight-year-old daughter Amelia are heading home after a fun day out at an amusement park. Stopping off in motorway services for a refreshment break they are unaware that a 'spotter', Luzak Velo, is communicating to his bosses, information about Amelia. She is their new target. Later when the opportunity arises, Velo snatches Amelia right from under her parents gaze and makes off in a vehicle. But swift thinking by the parents makes his escape short-lived and he is forced to take to the forest trails on foot, dragging the uncooperative young girl with him. With Patrick and Caroline in hot pursuit, Velo keeps in constant contact with his bosses as they strive to arrange a rendezvous to collect him and his young quarry. But Amelia's parents aren't going to let that happen without a fight. So begins a 60-minute chase, the so-called 'golden hour' of retrieval, when the trail is freshest and the chances of victim recovery greatest. Can Patrick and Caroline get their daughter back in the window of opportunity they have? Or will Velo reach his objective, with Amelia in tow, and whisk her away forever - to face a terrifying and uncertain future.
