In the hospital, Luke has a vision of being in the office and his father Lucius waiting for him.
In the real world, Ryan and Mary return to the office and Mary tells Ryan how Luke was shot twice. Now Luke is in a coma, and Mary says what happened based on what Luke told her over the phone when he confronted the car thief. Alice complains that Ocean killed Evelyn before she could get the password to restore Kate's memories. She wonders why Black Mask is so obsessed with knowing everything about the Kane family. Ocean says that he doesn't care, and Kate isn't worth Alice getting killed over. Alice figures that she's on her own and goes.
Batwoman takes to the streets and chases Eli's SUV that he stole. She snares it with a grapple line and stops it, and Eli tries to run. Batwoman confronts him and saw that the Crows shot Luke after Eli said that Luke was the thief. He ran and the Crows didn't bother to follow him. Her friend is working on an extract from the Rose, and Ryan tells Mary to focus on saving Luke while she handles the Crows. Ryan accesses the Internet and does a search on Russel, who has been running Batwoman's operations against Black Mask. She leaves to go after Russell.
Alice goes to the empty office and looks around.
Mary finishes the extract. An invader alert goes off from the office, and Mary goes up, aims a taser at Alice, and tells her to leave. Alice isn't impressed and asks what Mary knows about Circe, and Mary wonders why she should care. Alice realizes that Mary is telling the truth and starts to leave, and tells Mary that Black Mask hates the Kane family as much as she does. She warns Mary to watch her back, and Mary says that she knows Alice is in love and maybe if Alice had seen it earlier, she wouldn't be the monster she is now. She asks him if he's a masochist or he hates himself, and asks which one it is. Ocean tells Alice that he can't help who he loves, and they're both survivors that somehow found each other. Alice tells Ocean that her entire life she's been caged, and now she's free to make her own choices. Ocean tells her to choose, and Alice says that she wants Ocean and Kate. In the Batcave, Ryan and Sophie watch the bodycam footage of the shooting. It shows Luke drawing a gun, and Dewitt reports that the gun was last found at the scene of a gas station robbery. Ryan figures that the Crows Photoshopped the gun into the robbery, and when Luke wakes up they'll charge him with the robbery. Mary calls in and tells Ryan that she can't get to Luke, and wonders where the video was created. Sophie figures that one of Russel's lackeys created the footage, and Sophie says that the bodycam footage is sent to the Crows' air-gapped server. It deletes automatically in one hour and fifteen minutes, and Sophie figures that they can compare the original footage to the Photoshopped footage and show the truth.
Ryan figures that Sophie knows the process, and asks if she's seen similar cases. Sophie points out that she didn't shoot Luke, and Ryan tells her that Luke got shot because of her. She gave Luke for being a privileged bystander, and Luke put himself in the way because of her. Ryan insists that Luke can't die and breaks into tears, and Sophie hugs her.

Jacob points out that they've saved countless lives, and Sophie reminds Jacob that she's been loyal to Jacob for five years. She begs Jacob to open his eyes before anyone else has to die, and leaves.
As Sophie goes out through the main room, she plants a hacking device on one of the consoles. Batwoman lands on the rooftop above, and contacts Sophie who says the hack is set up and she's contacted Wolf Spider to break in and get the extract to Luke.

Jacob says that they need to take a hard look at themselves, and says that Russel is sidelined until he conducts a full investigation into Russel. Russel pistol-whips him unconscious and figures they'll be better off if they get rid of the problem.

They prepare to give Jacob an overdose, and Russel warns his reluctant lackeys that they'll go to jail if they don't. They give in, and Russel prepares to inject Jacob. The lights go out and Batwoman breaks in through the window and attacks them. She knocks all of them out except Russel, turns on the lights so he can see her, and they fight.
Batwoman finally knocks Russel out, and Jacob wakes up and sees the entire things. As Batwoman unties him, he thanks her and she says that she had to give up clearing Luke's name to save Jacob. Jacob tells her that he didn't know it was so bad, and Batwoman says that she bends the rules but she has a code. She asks Jacob what his code, and tells him that it's up to him to take down the Crows or he's just as bad as Russel. With that, Batwoman leaves the way she came.
The next day, Ryan goes to Luke's hospital room. Mary joins her, and Ryan wonders why Luke isn't waking up when his vitals have stabilized. She says that she should have been there and done more.

He acknowledges Batwoman's actions, and says that he is ultimately responsible. Ryan and Mary watch the newscast as Jacob says that he is disbanding the Crows. When Luke asks Bruce why he walked away from being Batman, and figures that it's all so depressing and no matter what he did, bad things still happened. Crying, Luke says that he doesn't want to live in that world anymore but wants to be with his choice. Bruce figures that Luke's choice, and Luke runs to Lucius.
In the hospital, Luke wakes up and Ryan tells him that he's alive.
