A Painful Loss

This Episode begins with George, he is still in surgery. Richard resuscitates Izzie. Izzie wakes up. Callie hyperventilates during George his surgery. George is brain death after the surgery. Lexie says that the patient that died isn't George. Callie has to decide what happens with George his organs. Alex tells Izzie that George is brain death. Derek can be the new chief of Surgery, he tells this to Richard. George past away. Today is George his funeral. Callie is crying in the elevator. Amazing First Episode of Grey's Anatomy Season 6, what a nightmare. George died, this was one of my favorite characters on this series. I will never forget him!

The One After George's Death...

I love this episode, but it's so sad. George is dead and that makes me very upset.

In this episode, we cover days one through thirteen after the death of beloved resident, George O'Malley. They begin by struggling to save George and Izzy, but unfortunately, they can only save Izzy. They deal with George's death, starting with denial and then moving into anger as they go to his funeral, and Izzy yells at the girl he saved, because all she does is sit in front of the hospital, feeling guilty and sorry for herself. Meanwhile, Dr. Hunt treats a double amputee in the field and Arizona struggles to help a teen with what appears to be growing pains.

Overall, I give this episode a 10 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Freaking Ridonkulous.

Ahhh so annoyed about who survived, the character of the one who survived was vapid and by the end of the last season I was struggling to continue watching them. Not cause I disliked the character, yeah I disliked them, but also more for the fact it was so far fetched. This show does dramatically stretch realism and any real life or medical accuracy, ok stretch is a little too kind, it's no accurate at all...but with this character it stretched too far out of the greys anatomy fantasy!!! I want to still believe some of it can be possible

Going by the premiere I have to admit that I do think that the show has lost its spark with the absence of George and the reduced appearance of Meredith. Then again the jumps in time never help the continuity. Overall this episode seemed like it was a bit of an effort to make. It didn't flow. Callie's here, there and everywhere, and then suddenly we're merging Seattle Grace and Mercy West just like that. I guess I just didn't feel this episode.

Kudos on the whole hysterics at the funeral thing. OMG the armless girl! Ewww. Seriously EWWWWW. I think I almost threw up when we saw her "friend" carrying her arms in even if we didn't actually see anything. And if I lost the use of 3 limbs, trust me I would want my mother to be there. Chief Webber ... that is some of the lousest fake driving I think I have ever seen! And, yeah, I'm kind of hoping the show will get is groove back next episode.

A 5% survival rate is so slim she should have died. That should've been her moment right there to stop poisoning the show. I get that they know her and that's why they ignored her DNR but she shouldn't've made it that far in the first place. George's death was so shocking I just had to sit for a minute to really take it in. I'm mad about his reasons for leaving the show, but I understand why he did it.
