  • Nancy considers an abortion and visits her obstetrician; Andy romances a bank teller in order to get access to an old account of Judah's; Silas and Doug visit a legendary pot supplier.

Synopsis

  • Nancy waits with Andy at the Ren Mar Women's Health Center. Nancy can't help but tell a young woman eating a sausage egg McMuffin-type sandwich that it can't be good for her baby. That's Ok, she's not keeping it, she says, which leads to a typical Andy over-confession about taking women to get five abortions.

Nancy goes in to see her doctor (Alanis Morisette), complaining about bad smells. Nancy asks how late is too late to get an abortion. Alanis says she still has some time.

In the yard, Shane works out his aggressions on his English teacher by throwing rocks at bottles as Isabelle watches. Ignacio comes out and blasts the targets with his gun. They tell him about the English teacher. He asks what they're going to do about it.

Andy and Nancy stroll home, with her arms full of good-smelling herbs. Andy tries to convince her to get rid of the baby, telling her "these are very dark waters you're swimming in, even for you." He says he's coming into some money.

At the dry cleaner, now medical marijuana store, Doug and Silas worry about their lack of good plants. Their cop partner suggests they go see an old high school friend of his called "The Wizard." Silas wants to negotiate alone, but Doug insists on going. "No one's going to take a blond man seriously."

Taking a break from weeding, Nancy goes into her garage. She hears a noise and shouts that she has a gun. Celia pops up. Celia whines about having no family that loves her. Nancy tells her to get out of her life. Celia whines about Nancy having everything including now, a baby. "A Mexican one, but still..." Celia says. Nancy gives her two days.

Mr. Sandusky (Todd Robert Anderson) is at home playing his theremin. Shane and Isabelle bust down the door. Shane's wielding a gun, but the teacher is unconcerned, saying "Get the f--- out of here before I kick your 'nards in, you c--- goblin, with your fake gun." Ignacio runs in and punches the teacher in the kidney.

Isabelle packs up the weed. Ignacio says "take something else, for penalty." Shane tells Isabelle to take the Ray-Bans, roller blades, and Zune". Shane eyes the theremin. "Not my axe" pleads Sandusky. Its gone. "Now," Igancio tells Shane, with relish, to "shoot him in the leg". Instead, Shane blasts the bird. Ignacio crosses himself, distressed. They leave.

Doug and Silas meet with the Wizard, who doubts their business acumen. He says that he'd stock everything at the dispensary. He starts laying out the contract, with delivery fee, and Doug's counter offer includes a lot of cursing. The Wizard has had enough and says they're done. A guy in a sweatsuit with a ninja sword comes in to drive home the point.

In the garage, Celia opens up the freezer. She finds Sucio's body. "Dead Mexican!" she shouts, running into the house. Nancy leaves a very calm message for Esteban asking him to come get him.

Andy's out to dinner with the bank teller Mags, dressed up Molly Ringwald-style with Shirley Temple hair. She apologizes for her overactive imagination, but Andy finds it admirable, he says. She narrates the story of her meeting Judah for Andy to recreate it over their dinner of fondue. Then she tells him that she wants him to take her virginity.

Nancy, hearing Shane play Sandusky's theremin, goes to investigate. Isabelle says they found it by a Dumpster, but Shane tells the truth, about the teacher jacking Silas' old cheese weed and them jacking it back. And Ignacio helped.

Nancy confronts Ignacio, who says "you're welcome." "I am so sorry that I exposed him to the world of criminal activities, for the first time," Ignacio says with perfect sarcasm.

Silas paints the shop. Doug helps by painting a man with a penis for a nose. They start hurling insults at each other, starting with embezzler and goldilocks and de-evolving into Doug calling Silas "father killer." Silas decks him. They pause and hug, Doug apologizes, saying sometimes he thinks he might be retarded in the mouth. And besides, he says, "Shane killed your dad."

Celia waits in the garage for the body disposal team. Two men come with bottles of liquid acid and a large wheeled trash can. She unloads all her problems on them, including her time with Rudolfo, but shuts up when she sees their concoction sizzling.

Continuing on the weirdest date ever, Mags takes Andy to the beach where she and Judah went. She blithely ignores the homeless encampment nearby as she jumps on Andy, calling him Judah as she unbuttons his pants and demands sex in not at all romantic language. Andy's distracted by the homeless people nearby, including the man taking a dump, but he imagines Copenhagen with Nancy and manages to go through with beach sex to get at Judah's old money.

Nancy takes Shane back to his teacher's apartment with the instrument, roller blades and replacement iguana for his cockatoo. Shane recites a genuine apology for killing the bird. The teacher says he's getting and "F" and tells them to get the f--- out. Then he shoves Shane to the floor. Nancy goes all mama bear: picks up his bat, pushes him down onto the couch, and pins him there with the bat across his throat. "Stealing from students is a no no," she lectures him. "It's unseemly, not to mention a gross abuse of your position. You're never going to do it again, are you?" Shane asks if he can kick him. She says "No sweetie," and that he's grounded. They leave.

Nancy finds Celia in her house, on her way to take a bath. Celia tells Nancy about her evening, including watching a body stuffed in a barrel of acid. The nice men even let her take some photos, so she'll be staying in the garage and needing some cash.

Nancy finds Andy out back, trying to recover from his forced prostitution. He tells her he got the money. Nancy says she's not sure what she's supposed to do. "Why is f------ Armageddon always coming down on me?" she says. "You do it," Andy says. "You know that. You have to know that it's all you." She nods and cries.

Andy says they need to leave; it's not safe. She can leave Esteban a note. "Break his heart in ink." He says it doesn't have to be Copenhagen, they're a family. "I know that I'm just Andy, but we could be more. I would like to try it," he says. She says OK.

Nancy lays in bed and composes a note. Freshly showered, Andy packs up.

Nancy carries a suitcase, with Shane -- to Esteban's door.

Andy finds the note; it's addressed to him.
