One hour and thirty minutes commercial of Japanese jet fighter with Canadian singer
euroasiangenetic23 April 2018
After the success with Top gun in 1984, there was very few who tried to repeat that success, one was hot shot that was a parody of top gun 1990, the other is this Japanese movie from the same year, great acting as always in Japanese movies and great drama but it feels like it was a long commercial of Japanese jet fighter and yes that was intended.

A pilot callsigned Goku is attending flight academy to become ranked Best Guy, he has other pilots opponents, Duck and Imagine. Imagine doesn't like Goku because he dares to take risks and is too stubborn. Their leader callsigned Zombie tolerate Goku because he recognized himself in him. Then a lady director named Miyuki break a movie commercial she was intended to make with a Canadian singer and to make a scoop with the pilots, specially Goku.

The movie is very interesting drama, and the acting is great but it also a little boring when it comes to flights. When the movie was released it flopped in Japanese cinema and I can see why, but at the same time the movie has a lot of nice moments specially the scene when Miyuki and Goku run to each other and hug at the big fountain.
