Julia is back. Yawn. Who cares? Still no sign of Kimber. I guess we'll see what really happened there next time, with the final. Kelsey Lynn Batelaan is credited, so I thought, Annie! But she was a no-show. And no sign of any deleted scenes, so what happened? Kelsey gone fishing? Listen, honey, schoolwork's important, but if Hollywood comes calling, aw, come on... No, dunno what happened.
So, I'd have gladly given this one the full barrage it deserves, but Famke Janssen is finally back as Ava. She is something to behold. Has a presence. It emanates from her. Something dark. Something... well, if it's evil, then it is just acting, for Famke herself is of course above reproach, but this character...
My score for the episode itself: very, very low. Take into account that I can't stand ol' Julian, and Dylan is just, ah, well, just Dylan (yawn), and that, aw gee whiz, John Hensley and Joely Richardson have about as much drawing power as week- old bread (but at least you could reheat that). The slow slow slow Nazi background theme didn't serve to make it worth watching, only made me long for something else. One* reason, and one reason only, to stay awake: Famke GOLDENEYE Janssen. Only she should be in something more worthy, because seeing her here with that gormless boy-man does her naught but a grave injustice.
(*Melonie Diaz as the doomed love interest is of course quite nice, but very little is made of her)
