At the Syndulla household, the wreck of a Clone Wars era Y-Wing is visible. This was the vehicle that brought C1-10P into Hera's possession; Homecoming (2016) revealed that Chopper was an astromech with the Republic Navy during the Ryloth campaign when his BTL-B Y-wing bomber was shot down by Separatist forces. Hera found Chopper trapped in the wreckage of the Y-Wing and saved him, which is why he is such a loyal companion to her.
Cham Syndulla was a recurring side character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008). Additionally, his daughter Hera Syndulla (along with the droid Chopper) is one of the main characters in Star Wars: Rebels (2014). This is just one of many examples of continuity across the Star Wars shows that Dave Filoni has been involved with.
According to the 2014 book "Star Wars Rebels: the Visual guide" by Adam Bray, Hera Syndulla was 24 years old at the start of Star Wars: Rebels (2014), making her 11 or 12 at the time of this story.
Cham Syndulla's first lieutenant, Gobi Glie, gets his largest role yet. The Glie-44 blaster pistol was named after Gobi Glie and manufactured by Eirriss Ryloth Defense Tech. This blaster would be used by most of the officers in the Resistance in their fight against the First Order some 50 years after this story.
The Aurebesh text visible on C1-10P's sensor scope viewer translates to "Worfae 14-2080-CBE205-002" and "scanning".
