i love..... I LOVE JOHN!

What a warm and lovely storyline of two newly acclimated Brazilian women trudging their way through the maze of romance in Los Angeles. Their spirited performances show the potential for many story lines involving their sometimes wacky POV of life here in the big city. There is a touch of "Lucy and Ethel" in these best friends and the scenario invented by it's writer is classic! One of my favorite moments is actually in the montage near the end of the piece with the two women on the beach enjoying the sunset. One short shot tells all one needs to know about the friendship/sisterhood they share. Rarely do we see two women supporting each other in their journeys in this lifetime. The comedy is clever in an "old school" kind of way and "John" is the perfect foil for these girls. With everyone trying to develop the latest trendy "hit", I LOVE JOHN reaches into the past for it's genre and sprinkles it with a bawdy yet loving tonality.

I Love, 'I Love John'

This movie is one of those stories sneaks up on you. The set up of the two main characters, best friends who are both dating a great guy, is wonderfully rich and charming, with the warmth of sunny Los Angeles as a backdrop. The music and cinematography is excellent, and you can almost taste the Chablis and feel the ocean breeze. As things go forward though, it is clear that something is a bit off. There is definitely trouble in Paradise, and the trouble is John, played by the great Steve Seagren. Once the cat is out of the bag, so to speak, the laughs just keep on coming. I don't want to spoil it, so make a point of seeing it for yourself. Kevin Keresey does a great job as director and writer. The pace is right on, he gets 110% from his solid actors, and puts the entire package together in way the makes you beg for more. Well done!

Funny!!!

This is a fantastic short. Funny, smart with wonderful performances. The 2 women work extremely well together are funny and moving. You are kept in it the whole time by the subtle emotional changes they go through. The set up for John is fun and Kevin Keresey did a great job writing and directing this, taking it just to the edge before making a turn. See this if you get the chance. I saw this at a festival screening the laughs were flowing. Both Carolina Shorter and Nadia Nardini the two women who play the leads understand comedy and make it work. The music is really great always lifting and supporting but never taking over. The editor did a great job along with the cinematographer all the technical stuff works great. The cameo at the end played by Jeff Chassler was very funny too. An all around great time.
