This season on HBO's Emmy-winning show Veep, Reid Scott's character, Dan Egan, has become 'Danny' Egan and is co-anchoring CBS This Morning. Monday, May 8, the actor himself guest co-hosted the real-life show. Just days earlier, Et sat down with him to talk all things Veep, Dan and being a d***.
Et: Veep started off season 6 by fast-forwarding one year, and the core group had all split up. How did you react when you read the season premiere script?
Reid Scott: I thought it was a brilliant move because so much had happened. When [Selina] loses the election, it's like where do you go from here? Honestly we all wondered if we would even come back! ... But they said, "Of course, we want you guys to come back," and to explore what happens when an administration breaks up and everyone moves on and takes other jobs, it's fun! You get to dig down a little deeper on all...

Welcome to the game that everyone trying to make a movie wish they would never have to play but do: Unhealthy Obsessive Persistence and Unlikely Approval! (Applause) What do we have for our contestant behind Door #1… wait, Door #1 is locked? Then what’s behind Door #2? A brick wall you say? What about Door #3? It just revolves back to point A. Congratulations! You don’t win! (Audience moans) Adding insult to injury, I have to pay for my own craft service.
At times, working to get a project noticed appears to dip into pointlessness, but all who play and remain convinced of their success never stop fantasizing about what’s behind some of those doors. Innumerable approaches to open them have been tried. Even if one finally works luck and timing seem instrumental in making it to the bonus round, when showcasing a unique set of tools and talent will be required to win.

Lakeshore Entertainment's I, Frankenstein adaptation went into production in Melbourne, Australia, at the end of February and we finally have our first look at Aaron Eckhart as Frankenstein's monster, Adam. Photographer Everhardt Strauss posted several photos from the set on his Flickr account.
Based on the Darkstorm Comics series created by Kevin Grevioux (Underworld), I, Frankenstein is being directed by Stuart Beattie (30 Days of Night), who also wrote the screenplay. The movie is set in an ancient city populated by all manner of monsters, where Adam finds himself caught up in a war between immortal enemies.
The full cast list has yet to be released, but it is known that Bill Nighy (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) plays one of the major villains, a character he described to BBC Radio 2 as a "nasty piece of work," an angel who "descended with Satan." Yvonne Strahovski (TV's Chuck, Killer Elite) plays the female lead,...

Only days after we learned that Bill Nighy (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) is in negotiations to play the primary villain opposite Aaron Eckhart (Battle: Los Angeles) in Lakeshore Ent.'s I, Frankenstein adaptation and that Socratis Otto (Anyone You Want) had joined the cast as a minor villain, more casting news has surfaced. According to THR, Yvonne Strahovski (TV's Chuck, Killer Elite) is "in final negotiations" to play the female lead in the movie and Miranda Otto (In Her Skin) has signed on in a supporting role.

While there are currently eight adaptations of Mary Shelley's public domain monster novel, Frankenstein, in development at various studios, Lakeshore Entertainment's version, I, Frankenstein, will most likely be the first one to hit the big screen. The movie broke away from the rest of the pack last month with the casting of Aaron Eckhart as the misunderstood monster and the announcement that the production would commence principal photography in Australia in January, aimed at a February 22, 2013, release. Now, Variety has reported that Bill Nighy (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) is "in negotiations" to play the primary villain, with Socratis Otto (Anyone You Want) joining the cast as a minor villain.
