Not up to the mark

If you're planning to watch this movie, I would request you to wait and think about it another time. I expected a lot more from the movie.

The movie starts like a political satire and ends in a way that would leave you confused. The story revolves around an induvidual who steps out of a political party in power to start his own. An attempt to oppress the induvidual ( who also owns a cocaine mafia ) is the gist of the story.

The act performed by the stage artists were great. Vaibhav really mingles with the gang. Apart from that, nothing in the movie is appealing. The heroine part and the Srilankan tamil issues looked out of place. I must say that they could have given both these attributes more back story and screenspace. The way the story was narrated was confusing and was incomplete right from the begining. Well, not every gansta movie is like KGF but one fails to see the heriosm of anyone in this movie.

The climax of this movie is the worst part of the movie. Director should have come up with a better plot.

incoherent!

Looking at the name of Karthik Subburaj, watched the movie and my God! What an incoherent narration! There was absolutely no effort to make any connection to the viewer. The scenes where haphazard. Loosely stitched and made very little sense!

Good actors like Naresh wasted. It is too much for Vaibhav to handle and the poor acting skills shows up too often!

The refugees living a tough life in India, immigrants trying to escape to another country going through incredible hardship, the plight of therukooththu artists.... all these provide immense opportunity to elicit an emotional connection between the movie and the viewer. But the utter lack of emotions, glazing over details makes the movie fall flat even in these scenes!

Waster couple of hours of my life watching this movie!

Could have been better!!

The main problem with this Vaibhav starrer movie is it has wayward plot line that meanders between refuge escapism, who is Dhanapal, sudden act of fightback by Vaibhav. The change in narrative between these acts does not seem coherent and looks forced. It's like "It is a twist because the protagonist said so". The reveal is predictable, and the motive of protagonist changes again and again, which makes it difficult to follow and engage.

Had it been a unknown villain till the end, it would still have worked leaving the audience to judge - who is a villain. But the Director chose other ways and it did not work. Decent movie!

Utter waste of time

If you want ro really waste time in your life, watch this film. The acting by all the actors are all so bad. The director made a debut through this film and I hope this might be his last film. Stone bench productions seem to have lot of money that they thought they could give away 10 Crore and waste on this film. Overall the music is very bad from a reputed music director, screenplay at it worst. Infact there's no such thing called screenplay. Film is dead slow and you will know for sure what will be the next scene. Overall to summarize, producers who choose to float their money through this film has succeeded. We're failed.

Lower ur expectations, you might like it

The movie is decent thriller with its own flaws. The best part of the movie is it is not boring at any moment and no speed breakers in the name of sentiment and romance.

The negative point is that the pain and situation of hero is not conveyed to the audience, may be because of lack of character development.

Another problem in the story is that the morality of each character is changing on each sequence. The romance and refugee backdrop is just used for logic in the screenplay.

With all these flaws it has some witty moments with Ilayaraja (Muthaiya).

Disastrous and Amateurish Direction

One of the worst films ive ever seen in life. Worst Characterisations, Weakest Plot, Pathetic Screenplay, Total waste of time. Totally irritating screenplay. No weightage for any particular character. Infact all the characters motive is useless. The director are to be blamed. Probably the director turned producer Karthik subburaj made good money out of this cheap production cos he sold it to OTT. Netflix should not buy films from Karthik subburaj, Pa Ranjith etc anymore. A lot of young aspiring directors with good script are waiting for an opportunity but dumb talents like him get the space cos of greed. Karthik subburaj should actually start directing scripts with good plot after jigarthanda which itself is an absolute rip off.

Couldn't believe that this is director's first movie

Though the director has worked with sensible movie maker Karthik Subbaraj. Couldn't believe this is his first movie as director. Ashok Veerappan bro, you have great future. I wish you achieve great heights. I saw this movie and was predicting the climax but I was wrong because you had good multiple twists. (Fact is every human keep changing their decisions when they are behind money) You have explained "GREED" very well. What I liked the most in the movie other than the climax is, the escape journey to Kerala and how he returned to back to TN lawyer house. Pulling Joju sir to this role was awesome, I loved the father role and his acting should be appreciated. Police character, he was good asusual. In the previous movies of Vaibhav's, he has been chilling and casual. In this movie, he was serious and confused state of mind. His acting was also good.

What could have been better: His friend missed somehow in the ocean, all of a sudden he is returned. This line could be done better.

All the best to the crew for upcoming projects.

Good Screenplay but

Good one but still expected a better climax. The screenplay was exceptional considering the directorial debut and the performances from the lead cast definitely needs a special mention and when it comes to maintaining the suspense of the entire plot the director has managed it to perfection. The climax was a partial letdown but not entirely though as there are other sequences in the movie that override the shortcomings of the climax. Its definitely a good one time watch but a must watch for the people who like the suspense factor when it comes to watching movies. This movie definitely deserves 10/10 but only partial disappointment is the climax.

Such a good movie

This movie will not be suitable for a masala audience, but okay for an average cinema viewer.

Personaly I liked the natural practical realities of life and it's flow shown in this movie. But I won't celebrate it too much. Because it lags on some points. But strictly not a bad movie. It lies between an average movie to a super dooper movie.

The casting is perfect except two characters: Actress: her lipsync is not that much good.

Police actor (Tamil): His acting is not that much like Jai bheem.

Vaibhav acted well, Infact I love his movies personally, and this one is very pleasing.

The friend chacter looks like comedy performer Amudhavanan, but he acted well.

All the other supporting characters are also okay.

Finally, If you have some time and a relaxing mood, you are ready to go.

If you like more masala movies. Please don't watch this movie, just stay where you are right now.
