- Gregory Parker: [reviewing the team's performance] Officers Callaghan, Braddock performed admirably in securing assigned areas and gathering key intel without any public displays of affection. Officer Scarlatti's skill in computers and other geeky toys was augmented today by a truly spectacular takedown... of a dangerous subject. Officer Young provided crucial backup and insight into the psychology of yet another subject. And Officer Wordsworth, well... he's just plain and simple the toughest S.O.B. I have ever had the privilege to command.
- Sam Braddock: Getting any deja-vu?
- Jules Callaghan: Yeah. Mostly the smell: Spring Blossom meets industrial disinfectant.
- Sam Braddock: You in that hospital gown and bunny slippers.
- Jules Callaghan: Panda slippers.
- Sam Braddock: Couple hundred times around these floors, you leaning on my arm.
- Jules Callaghan: Yeah. You did always like me best when I needed you, huh?
- Sam Braddock: Come on. Everyone needs to be needed.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: [training Lewis on using a battering ram] No, you're not, you're not doing it right.
- Lewis Young: I'm doing it how you told me to do it.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: No, you're doing it like someone who didn't listen to how I told him to do it.
- Ed Lane: Communication, repetition, affirmation - secret to every great marriage.
- Ed Lane: Boss, we up for a drink tonight, or what?
- Gregory Parker: Buddy, can't. I gotta finish this article - Critical Incidence newsletter.
- Ed Lane: Who says Greg Parker doesn't know how to have a good time?
- Ed Lane: Officer Callaghan, how you doing?
- Jules Callaghan: You really want to know?
- Ed Lane: Well, unless the answer is "outstanding," not really.
- Derek Medeiros: [asking Trudy to treat a gunshot wound without reporting it] Look, I just need you to trust me. He's my little brother. I can't have Social Services take him away from me.
- Gregory Parker: [arriving at hospital] Jules, you spent a lot of time here after you got shot. You good?
- Jules Callaghan: Yeah, kind of hoping not to see this place again so soon.
- Ed Lane: Uncontrolled entrances, hundreds of rooms.
- Gregory Parker: [on radio] Pete, we've got a major containment challenge here, and we need all the extra uniforms we can get.
- Derek Medeiros: Mattie, what the hell is Shane and his boys after you for? I'm tired of this! What did you do?
- Matt Medeiros: Nothin'.
- Derek Medeiros: Nothing?
- [shoves scrubs in Mattie's hands]
- Derek Medeiros: Put these on, we gotta blend.
- Matt Medeiros: These are girls'.
- Derek Medeiros: You're worried about the clothes? They're trying to kill you and you're worried about the clothes?
- Gregory Parker: [on phone] I know you're trying to protect your brother, but if someone's after him, you'll both be safer with us, buddy. You just think about this: your brother's injured, he needs treatment. You tell me where you are, we'll get him out of there safely and give him the help he needs.
- Derek Medeiros: [on phone] You can come to us?
- Matt Medeiros: [to Derek] You, you promised.
- Gregory Parker: You bet, buddy, right away.
- Derek Medeiros: North wing, fourth floor supply room.
- Matt Medeiros: That's it, I'm dead. I'm dead. I'm dead!
- Gregory Parker: Mr. Watts. How you doing? Okay? My officer said - before he arrested you - he said that you reached behind you, the back of your pants. Now, I can interpret that two ways. One, you were hitching - you were hitching your pants up. Or you... you were drawing the concealed weapon you had back there. Now, wearing big baggy pants, that's not a serious offense, but drawing a, a gun on one of my officers, that-that really is.
- Remo Benzina: Robocops, man! Yo, what is that, AKs they're carrying out there?
- Shane Thomas: Just calm the hell down.
- Remo Benzina: No, man! They can shoot through walls with that stuff, man!
- Gregory Parker: [on phone] We can protect you from Shane.
- Derek Medeiros: Even if you find him, he'll be back on the street tomorrow.
- Gregory Parker: No. We're not going to let that happen.
- Derek Medeiros: Listen, the system is broken. Only one way I can make sure my brother is safe.
- Gregory Parker: Do this, you'll throw away everything you've done.
- Derek Medeiros: I'm sorry. I gotta do this.
- Gregory Parker: [on phone to Derek] I'm not talking to you as a cop, I'm talking to you as a man who wants you to succeed. And you made a choice to be somebody different. Don't quit. Don't quit on that choice. Don't quit on the guy that you set out to be, who Matt needs you to be, and who your mom would've been so proud of.
- Ed Lane: [whispering as he hugs Matt after taking the gun out of his hand] We're gonna get through this, Matt. I'm not gonna let you down.
- Matt Medeiros: [whispering] I'm sorry.
- Ed Lane: I'm not gonna punch out at the end of this shift.
- Matt Medeiros: I'm sorry.
- Ed Lane: You have nothing to be sorry about. You have nothing to be sorry about.
- Gregory Parker: [to Team One] When everybody's struggling, he's pushing through. When everyone's lost, he finds our way. And when we falter, he picks us up. The problem is, is after he's done all that, who picks him up, right? You saved that kid today, Eddie. At one time or another, you've saved every person in this room.
- Ed Lane: [watching Greg walk in the conference room with a box] Okay, no way, no way. I'm tired. I'm going home. I'm not doing the Greg Parker review from Hell. Simple as that.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: [as Parker opens the box and starts throwing them bags of chips] What the...?
- Jules Callaghan: What about the review?
- Gregory Parker: You guys want a review? How's this?
- [grabs a case of beer and begins handing them to team members as he circles the table]
- Gregory Parker: Officers Callaghan, Braddock performed admirably in securing assigned areas and gathering key intel without any public displays of affection. Officer Scarlatti's skill in computers and other geeky toys was augmented today by a truly spectacular takedown...
- [everyone shouts "Yeah!"]
- Gregory Parker: ... of a danerous subject. Officer Young provided crucial backup and insight into the psychology of yet another subject. And Officer Wordsworth, well... he's just plain and simple the toughest S.O.B. I have ever had the privilege to command.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: Thank you.
- Gregory Parker: And that leaves us with Officer Ed Lane, who, truth be told, has always been a bit of a problem for Team One...
- Ed Lane: [everyone laughs] Let's have it.
- Gregory Parker: ...'cause... when everybody's struggling, he's pushing through. When everyone's lost, he finds our way. And when we falter, he picks us up. The problem is, is after he's done all that, who picks him up, right? You saved that kid today, Eddie. At one time or another, you've saved every person in this room.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: [patting Ed's arm] Yep.
- Gregory Parker: [opens a can of soda] So, today... is Ed Lane's fifth anniversary as Team Leader.
- Kevin 'Wordy' Wordsworth: [everyone starts pounding the table and standing up] All right.
- Sam Braddock: Cheers to that. Five more years.
