Crash
coolbutfunny7 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Didn't care for the Allegra stuff and the Joe and Kristen stuff is honestly boring. Diggle in any episode inhances the episode and his presence was welcomed, loved the set up for Green Lantern hopefully and actually it didn't bother me with Dion appearing and Iris being with him, don't understand why Cecil went with Diggle to take out a Godspeed clone, but anyway that ending with Bart and Nora just shocked me and Bart said "Crash"!

Hit or miss with this show. I enjoyed last week better than this week BUT
ldamena7 July 2021
It was still a pretty good episode. There was some things I enjoyed *cough* Diggle and some that I hated: mostly Barry's attitude this episode and man was that last scene annoying- all I'm gonna ask is why???? I'm probably the only one who hated that scene and the characters that showed up at the end LOL. Anyway, the writing has improved massively in the last two weeks just wish that the writers hadn't waited til the end of S7 to give the viewers good stories.

best episode of the season
rcwgrimm7 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The godspeed arc and especially this episode are the best since bloodwork. Fast paced, great effects, guest stars and a great story make this episode a true flash episode. And if that didn't convince you... THERE IS NOW IMPULSE!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the next episode.

Better than the last episodes but...
pauli_gomez13 July 2021
This episode was at least interesting, with touches of fun and several references to other episodes. Also, with a great guest star. But the subplots were terrible. One of them at least involved one character I care about. The other? Not even that. And the resolution of it made what happened in previous episodes a waste.

Also, they are still underusing the character Caitlin (and even Frost). That is a shame, we could have better Panabaker arcs and forget about the other subplots.

Oh, a character is introduced in the end and I was not thrilled. I mean, I love that character but apparently not this version.

So what you're saying is that we have to wait until Supergirl to see Diggle become Green Lantern? Doesn't that show come back in AUGUST??
demigodshmurda7 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Look, I'm just gonna rewrite this season and put a video of me doing so on Youtube, because I'm honestly tired of nitpicking this show. Most of my usual complaints still apply this week, but some of them don't.

Barry Allen got to be the main character of his own show this week. Congrats. That's honestly the highlight of the episode. Barry Allen has been sidelined for too many episodes now. He got real character development, made a choice, and got to meet his future kids. And all of that on top of him getting to act like a frickin man in the last episode and racing six Godspeeds out of the city. Keep in mind, this is where we place the bar now. We've gone so far down that Barry being in the episode for more than three minutes counts as a win. Wow.

We finally got an explanation for Iris's absence, and... Okay, it actually kinda makes sense that she'd call Deon for help. Now all we need to know is why she's flickering in and out of the timeline, and we'll all be good. I still don't like Iris West-Allen as a character, and I haven't missed her these last two episodes, but having one of your MAIN characters not showing up in an episode for almost four episodes in a row is an issue. Again, they explained why, and that's good, but it's still something to note.

Allegra's plotline is still completely pointless, and she should've left the show when Nash Wells died. It's not that she's a bad character, or that Kayla Compton does a bad job playing her. That's not it at all. She's just a completely pointless character. You could cut her out of the show with an old nail file and nothing would change. She's not necessary to the plot, so why is she here? Allegra still being on the show reminds me of Legends of Tomorrow season four. Remember Mona Wu on that show? She was annoying and had a pointless story arc that took up way too much screen time which could've been devoted to things people actually cared about. So what did the Legends of Tomorrow writers do? They listened to the fans, and wrote the character off the show, and therefore had more time to devote to characters we actually liked like Sara, Ava, Charlie and Behrad. Imagine doing what the fans ask you to do, and having a better show for it. What a novel concept that is.

Kramer's story is intriguing. We finally got to meet Adam this week, and all that it really proved is how much more intriguing Kramer's story is than the main plot of the Godspeed arc. Now it's not the most complicated story out there, but it is one that I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the ending to. It's pretty clear that Kramer died at some point during Operation Griffin, and has now been replaced with a clone of some kind. After that was revealed, I said "Imagine if she's like an older Ava clone. Like, one that's aged older." Just my headcanon for now until proven otherwise, but I don't think it's too out there as a possibility.

Now for the make or break of the episode. John Diggle. Overall, I'm not disappointed with the story, I just wish we'd gotten to see it develop sooner rather than later. Think about it. Diggle doesn't have any connection to any of the other Arrowverse characters on shows like Superman and Lois or Supergirl, so it would only make sense for him to become Green Lantern on Flash or Legends. Obviously he didn't play Green Lantern on Legends, but they really missed their chance to make him Green Lantern already. Diggle has no relationship with the Kent family or the Superfriends, so it really makes no sense to me that we have to wait until Supergirl for him to get to put the ring on. And yes, I do mean that we have to wait until Supergirl since Superman and Lois is next week, Supergirl doesn't return until AUGUST, and David Ramsey already confirmed that he's appearing on Supergirl. Best case scenario, his appearance on Supergirl was cancelled and we get one scene of him fighting Kryptonians in the Green Lantern suit on Superman and Lois since they're the only ones with the budget to be able to handle the character.

Also, apparently Diggle went to Gotham. I stopped watching Batwoman three episodes into season two, but I can only imagine how the Batwoman writers ruined him.

There's one final thing I want to talk about this episode, and that's Godspeed. I don't hate how they're handling August Heart, though it's not how I'd handle it personally. Making August Heart not remember who he is an intriguing direction to go, and I'm less confused now this week than I was last week. I honestly like some of the Godspeed clones' motivation in just wanting to live. It's actually pretty compelling, but not enough to make me care about this story.

Listen, the writers had the chance to do Godspeed two years ago. You know, the *real* Godspeed. Now, while this was a cameo appearance for the character, the timeline did change during the season five finale, so Nora West-Allen no longer existed. This gave the writers an opportunity to bring Godspeed into the present day, and... They didn't take it. Yes, that was an issue with season six and not seven, but it still doesn't fix the issue that the writers missed their chance to do this character correctly not once, but TWICE. I no longer have any interest in seeing this character on screen since the writers just keep screwing him over in the worst way possible. First, he was a cameo, then he was a "freak of the week", and now he only gets FOUR EPISODES to be the main villain. I. Am. Over. It.

I just can't wait for this season to be over. I'll watch and probably review the last two episodes, but I can only see one of two things happening next season. Either the CW keeps all of their writing staff and ends things at season eight, or they fire every person in the Flash writer's room and keep things going for a ninth season. Only one of these options will reinvigorate any sort of interest in the series, and I'm not gonna tell you which it is.

6 / 10

The ball's in your court, CW.

John and the floor
cjonesas8 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 16: Good in a kindergarten kind entertaining way. It's like watching The Flash through rose and white filters.

After a year and a half we get to see John, but we see nothing of him besides foreplay. After near 550 days of hinting The Green lantern, there is John we his leather jacket, smooth skin and "motorcycle" helmet walking on the floor!

Seeing Nora again was a great welcome and I love her shy, "awkwardo"- concerned smile.

Best episode till date
prometheus198707 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode gets the plot moving. It gives us the reason for the Godspeed civil War. And most importantly the flash is at the center of the episode. The episode, after a long long time, doesn't have the cringe which it had during The Forces storyline. It's logical as well. Barry's concern about his family is well established. The only thing wrong about this episode was Allegra and her sister. Her sister Esperanza dies fighting without really any plot to it. She gets 2 scenes of at least 30s. She talks tough in the first scene, but dies without any plot to her death.

Apart from that it's a good episode, kinda gives the first 3 seasons of the flash vibes. This and just a bit of improvement is what the show needs to get back on its feet.

This goes in the top 15 bests episodes pf the flash easily
salvae7 July 2021
In this episode there was the perfect equilibrium of action drama, especially the action scenes are incredible, and finally even a second plot is interesting. Finally the flash is the main character again. AND FINALLY A GREAT GREAT GREAT MAIN PLOT, I'm so engaged with it. The final scene is freaking awesome OMG CANT WAIT.

The last week ep was very very good but with some problems like the cringe scenes or the background music, problems that this ep has solved

This episode CRASH!!!

Where is Iris
HungryEyesMediaInc9 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'm about ready to stop watching this show if they are going to keep disrespecting Iris's character. First she is trapped in the mirrorverse and there is a missed opportunity to give her a strong story resolution, then she is missing with Barry talking to walls and now she is time phasing or something stupid and has to be 'protected' off screen! Oh and they bring in a whole lot of Black people as if to distract us from how this beautiful Black woman is being treated. Barry AND Iris are the glue keeping this show together. If the writer's don't know that yet, they will soon find out.

Warning: Spoilers
New speedster attacks were reported throughout Central City. Nora appears again warning him. Barry then wakes up questioning what is happening. The city is locked down as the Speedster War is going on. The Godspeeds' Ambushed Barry in the City Hall, they disappear. Barry travels to Star Labs telling them what has been going on. Chester works out on a predictive algorithm. Any electronic signal cannot be transmitted since the Godspeeds love electricity. Barry has another hour of speed-healing until the Godspeeds show up again. Apparently, the Godspeeds' are from 2045. Just until Diggle shows up to help Team Flash in the current ongoing Speedster Civil War, oh hell yes! Diggle introduces the Entropy trap which purpose is to save Central City. Any something-something for person freezing it in time, the team plans to bring one for questioning on their motive. The Speedsters arrive again. Chester activates emitting signal into thinking that the Godspeeders' are allied with them. One of the Godspeeders gets caught in the Entropy Trap then is bought back to the Star Lab jails. The Flash speaks to the Lone Godspeed. It acknowledges his secret identity. The Lone Speedster explains to him the main purpose of the Speedster Civil War; they're fighting two sides of themselves, prompting team Flash to join and kill August Hearts (( the main Godspeed. )), and their freedom will be compromised. The Lone Speedster threatens Barry by tapping to his speed. It breaks out. Action! The teams realize the Speedster was interrogating them. The Godspeeds are gone, yet again. Barry tells Cecil that he wants to travel to 2049 to check up on Nora. Cecil tells him that Nora is researching the whereabouts of August Hearts to end the Civil War. Barry attempts to run to 2049. But lands in 2023, I think, and meets Deons. The Speedsters are feeding on the other speedsters' energy to make them faster. Iris appears.

The Speedsters attack once more. This time; Cecil, Diggle, and Frost are defending the city. Worlds await? Could this be a foreshadowing of the new speedster character coming up next or something? Barry arrives in Present Day telling Chester and Cecil what happened to Iris. The three spots 2021 August Hearts? Wow. Wally and his assistant finally capture the guy they have been looking for. They question him why did he kill those people. Oh great; this guy is immortal for god's sake. Kramer threatens to use her gun to "kill", but lowers the gun down. The guy is bought back to the Medical Bay. Diggle tells the team that he is leaving and has to deal with whatever he found in the aftermath of the Crisis. Green Lantern ring? The guy tells his name - August Hearts. Nora has come home. Barry's future son; Bart arrives.

Thoughts?

This was actually decent, we're getting into the spirit of a good Flash episode. It's great to have Diggle back again. I dig him. The plot has finally caught my attention. It's interesting. I do hope to god that Season 8 will be great, and the finale doesn't fall apart, but we will see. I am looking forward to this! I wouldn't be surprised if the writers were saving the best for the last. The team dynamic is stronger than ever. You have beautiful character moments.

Ranking/Reviewing every Flash episode: P.O.W
lbramson22 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Diggle comes to visit as the Godspeed Civil War rages on. Meanwhile, Iris is traveling through time due to time sickness. This episode was pretty darn cool. Not amazing, but compared to most of this season it's Citizen Kane. A lot happened, for better and for worse. Diggle showing up and the first appearance of Impulse were awesome moments! Godspeed was also somehow, some way the most threatening villain in years. However, this episode had to juggle Iris time sickness, Godspeed, John Diggle, and two new characters in one single episode, which doesn't work. I like this episode, but it has a problem of too much going on. Good episode that easily could've been stretched out to 2.

8.2/10.
