Mr. Quizzer does not appear in this episode.
In their appearances on "Toon In with Me", Svengoolie's on-screen descriptor is "Master of Terrormonies" and Kerwyn's is "Macabre Mascot".
This special horror-themed Svengoolie (1995) crossover sees the return of two recurring sock puppet characters first introduced in Sock it to me (2021): Bill's Frankenstein monster-inspired Stockingstein appears alongside Goldie Fisher in a trailer from their horror film "Spouse of Stockingstein" (a parody of Bride of Frankenstein (1935), with Goldie in the Elsa Lanchester role as the Monster's Mate), and tube sock salmon Sockeye Sam ("Somewhat Intelligent Sock") joins the "Sventoonie" show from a laundromat and is transformed into "Invisible Sam", a new movie monster for Toony's horror showcase (inspired by the Invisible Man).
After being needled once more by his MeTV nemesis Kerwyn (the prehistoric rubber chicken sidekick from Svengoolie (1995)), Toony takes control and turns the show into an episode of "Sventoonie", a horror-themed show heavily inspired by (ripped off from?) MeTV's Saturday night hosted horror anthology. Toony appears in full Sven makeup and wardrobe as undead tuna Sventoonie ("Unsanctioned Spin-Off"/"Horror A-fish-ionado"), ghoulish TV horror host in the mold of Rich Koz. Bill the Cartoon Curator is begrudgingly recast as Sventoonie's chicken-suited sidekick Billwyn ("Reluctant Rooster"/"In a Fowl Mood"/"Chicken Curator"). The short "Sventoonie" intro borrows footage from "Svengoolie", and the title design mimics the dripping blood-red typeface of the "Svengoolie" logo, but in purple.
This Thursday-morning episode was promoted during the previous Saturday night's episode of Svengoolie (1995), and for several days afterward on MeTV, due to the high-profile crossover with the popular horror anthology series. (Most episodes of "Toon In with Me" are not previewed until after the prior episode airs, often just one day in advance.)
