Lost Tales from Camp Blood Part 4 (2009)
** 1/2 (out of 4)
Part four of the series takes place in the hospital as the soul survivor from the previous film wakes up missing an eye. He takes off fearing the killer will be coming after him and he meets up with an off-duty nurse and sure enough the two run into a maniac with an axe. I know fans of Friday THE 13TH have given this series a pretty bad beating but I actually think they haven't been too bad, even with the real lack of connection with the series. This one here isn't the strongest because moving the action out of the woods pretty much takes away quite a bit of atmosphere and we've seen the hospital stuff so many times before and nothing is really done with it here. I will say that there's one very effective scene here that was expertly shot and it's when the killer first appears behind one of our two leads. I really don't want to give anything away but the way the killer is brought into the frame was pretty effective.
