An estimated 1,000,000 wild horses roam the Four Corners region of the United States Southwest. A danger to the community, many horses are slaughtered by the government. Held sacred by the Navajo community, an ancient method developed over many centuries by the Navajo peoples of the region to save them. This is known as Gentling. This documentary covers the competition by 4 Navajo men to gentle a wild horse in under 24 hours. Their methods can be used to help the horse population and the community, providing well trained working horses and opportunities for younger generations to interact with their strong heritage.
