- Ryan writes a letter to Kate, saying that today is the day she's supposed to die. She isn't scared of dying, but of not living. Now Ryan finally knows what she's been waiting for.
Alice writes that day is the day she kills Kate, saved her by turning her into a hero.
Ryan writes of how Kate helped her find her inner warrior.
Alice writes that she reminds Kate of how brave and courage she is.
Ryan writes that Kate made her feel brave.
Alice writes of how she told Kate her greatest fear was being trapped again, and then Kate had her locked up in Arkham.
Ryan writes that Kate helped her break out of the system trapping her.
Alice writes that she's come so far to get her revenge.
Ryan writes that she's come so far to inspire other, and she can push off death another day if it means saving Kate.
Alice writes that she can survive if it means killing Kate.
At the Batcaver, Ryan gives herself of adrenaline and cortisone. Mary arrives, and Ryan says that she learned the drug from Youtube. When Mary says that the drug will speed up the radiation poisoning, Ryan tells her that 24 hours all she needs. She gives in and says that they'll take a team vote on it, and asks where Luke is.
Luke meets with Sophie and gives her Alice's location from the tracker. Sophie figures that Luke is working with Batwoman, and he says that Batwoman can't do it because she's dying. They need Sophie to bring back a Desert Rose so they can heal Batwoman, A Crows tech comes over and says that they've discover that Ocean boarded a flight to Rome the previous night.
Sophie figures that Alice wouldn't have gone to Coryana without Ocean's body. Luke deduces that Alice is taking a fake body there, and that Sophie needs to go there before Safiyah gives Alice Kate in return and Kate kills her sister.
Luke goes to the Batcave, and tells Ryan and Mary what he's learned. Ryan is skeptical of Sophie saying that she'll get the flower, and they monitor Sophie and Jacob heading there. Safiyah's men ambush Jacob and Sophie, and take them away in a van. They take Sophie to an airstrip and Luke determines that it's the same airstrip that Alice left from. Ryan prepares to inject herself with her drug mixture. Mary objects, but Ryan tells her that they're out of options, tells them to start the clock, and injects herself.
Ryan exercises with her adrenaline-boosted system, and Mary warns that her 24-hour estimate is an approximate. Luke can't locate Coryana and figure it's cloaked, and gives Ryan EMP grenades that if she takes them, it will knock out the electronic restraints that Safiyah uses on her prisoners. Ryan asks what happens if she brings Kate back, and what that makes her if Kate becomes Batwoman again. Mary says that it doesn't matter, but she really wants Kate back.
In case she dies, Ryan gives Mary her plant to look after. Angelique gave it to Ryan, and Ryan was going to give it to Cora when she moved into her place. Mary tells Ryan that she has to live so she can come back to take care of the plant.
Luke finds a cargo plane heading over Coryana's airspace. He overrides the cargo door and Ryan makes a halo jump even though she has never been on a plane before.
On Coryana, Alice and Safiyah look at the body of the fake Ocean. Alice says that Tatiana told her how Safiyah loved her, and Safiyah says that she considered Ocean a brother, and had their memories erased because she thought Alice was a bad influence on him. Safiyah says that she isn't blind to what happens, and says that her men found a tracker on Alice's boot.
Jacob and Sophie wake up in a cell, and Tatiana comes in and says that they're where they wanted to be.
The cargo door opens and Ryan jumps. She reluctantly does so, breaks through the electromagnetic shield around Coryana, and Luke spots two heat signatures that could be the restraints. He has Batwoman deploy the grenades and her chutes.
Tatiana explains that Jacob is there to see Alice kill Kate, and Sophie is there because Safiyah wants Sophie to join her army. The lieutenant says that Sophie is already a member of the Crows, and they're committed to prot4ecting their people while the Crows oppress theirs. The restraints shut down, and Sophie knocks Tatiana out.
Batwoman touches down and Luke tells her to conserve her energy. The heroine comes to a field with Desert Roses, and her signal cuts out because the EMPs knock out the comms. Several of Tatiana's men surround Batwoman and attack her, and she fights back.
Safiyah tells Alice that there's she has a compulsion to kill Kate because she's more loved her, and if Alice kills then she thinks that love will transfer to her. The ruler says that it's not how it works, and asks what happens to Alice when she kills Kate and the feelings don't transfer. Alice tells Safiyah that she's not changing her mind, and Safiyah says that she does care about Alice and needs to know that she really wants Kate's dead.
Alice says that it is, and Safiyah says that she'll take Alice to Kate. The men arrive with Batwoman, and Tatiana reports that the prisoners have escaped. Batwoman says that Safiyah is going to help her and in return she'll tell Safiyah something she wants to hear. Safiyah refuses to barter, and Batwoman tells her to look a little harder and confirm that it's really Ocean. Safiyah goes over and pulls off the Ocean mask, and realizes Alice still has feelings for Ocean. She has her men put Alice with Batwoman, and search for the escaped prisons.
Jacob and Sofia find the grenade, and they realize what it is and that Batwoman must have used it. Jacob wonders if Sophie is working with Batwoman to get the Rose, and Sophie explains that she's just not working against her. Sophie says that she doesn't know what Batwoman's secret identity is, but doesn't see what the harm is in framing them. Jacob insists that the Crows are accountable, and Sophie points out that they're not. She tells Jacob that it's time to stop pretending that they're above the law. The two Crows smell fertilizer, and figure the Rose field is around there somewhere.
The guards lock up Alice and Batwoman in a cell. Batwoman says that she's there to stop Alice from killing Kate, then starts coughing. Alice realizes that she's dying and needs to find Kate to replace her, and works out that Batwoman planted the tracker on her. Batwoman why Alice doesn't kill her, and figures that she's terrified of killing her sister and Kate's death isn't what she wants. She figures that Alice just wants Kate back. Alice tries to deny it, but Batwoman figures that Alice thinks that she's a victim, and her tiny sliver of humanity won't let her kill her sister.
Safiyah comes in and tells Alice that Kate is hers if she still wants her. She then asks Batwoman what she wants in return for helping her, and Batwoman says that she wants enough Rose to cure herself... and take Kate back to Gotham alive. Safiyah says that she's only going to give Batwoman one of things she wants in return for the one thing she gave Safiyah, and tells Batwoman to choose Kate or the Rose. Batwoman says the Rose, much to Alice's surprise. Safiyah then tells Alice that she can have Kate, and leaves.
Later, Safiyah tells Alice that she'll bring her Kate eventually. Once Alice has to fulfill her end of the deal. The guards bring Ocean forward, and Safiyah tells Alice that if she want Kate then she'll have to kill Ocean for real. Safiyah says that they got Ocean's location from her phone, then gives Alice the choice of she can have Ocean or Kate.
In the Wayne office, Mary tends to Ryan's plant and wait for Batwoman's feed to come back on line. The power goes out and one of Safiyah's Arms, Dire-Flail, comes in and attacks them because Safiyah knows they're tracking her. They manage to hold Dire-Flail off until Mary can knock her out from behind with a whiskey bottle, and Luke says that they have to go. Mary refuses to abandon the plant, but she hesitates to grab it since it's so near to Dire-Flail.
Ocean says that Safiyah's brain-wipe worked and she didn't know Alice existed until a few weeks ago and he didn't frame Safiyah. Rather than confirm his story, Alice tells Safiyah to give her the knife. Ocean figures that it was about Alice caring more about other people than Safiyah. Alice contemplates the knife, and Alice asks her if she wants to punish Kate. Walking over to Ocean, Alice whispers in Ocean's ear that he's sorry but she doesn't want to kill her anymore, and then stabs Ocean to death.
Alice turns to Safiyah and tells her to take her to Kate, before anyone else on the island dies. Safiyah smiles in satisfaction.
Mary uses a lamp to lift Dire-Flail and grab the plant. Once they have it, she and Luke run. Julia arrives as Dire-Flail wakes up, and Julia throws a knife into the Arm.
Tatiana goes to Batwoman's cell and says that Safiyah will bring Batwoman the Rose once she's finished with Alice.
Safiyah takes Alice to a cell.
Julia asks for an explanation, and Luke tells her that the Many Arms learned they helped Batwoman to get to Coryana.
Tatiana congratulates Batwoman on sacrificing her life to save Kate's. Batwoman says that Alice isn't going to kill Kate. Tatiana says that Alice isn't going to kill Kate.
Alice goes into the cell and finds it empty except for necklaces hanging from the ceiling.
Julia says that she hired a team to look for Kate's body parts. They must have gotten caught in the current, and DNA checks have confirmed that they belonged to Kate.
Safiyah tells Alice that she never had Kate.
Julia offers her condolences, and tells Luke and Mary that Kate is dead.
Safiyah's men grab Alice and take her away as she goes berserk. Alice yells at Safiyah that she's lying, and Safiyah says that someone tried to frame her but she took the opportunity to get revenge on Alice and Ocean. Safiyah tells her men to get Alice off of Coryana.
Jacob and Sophie find a plane, and Jacob stays to get it started while Sophie looks for Kate.
Safiyah goes back to Ocean's body and pulls the knife out. He comes back to life, and Safiyah tells a watching Tatiana that the dagger was forged with some of the Rose. Safiyah welcome Ocean back, and tells him that Alice doesn't actually care about him and Safiyah wanted Ocean to see it. She point out that Alice's loyalty will always lie with Kate, and has Tatiana confirm that her loyalty lies with Safiyah. Safiyah asks why Tatiana framed her for Kate's murder, and Tatiana says that Safiyah was in love with Alice and she was trying to get rid of Alice. Furious, Safiyah says that Tatiana has always tried to drive a wedge between her and Alice, then kills her with the dagger. She then tells Ocean to pull it out when she decides to forgive Tatiana.
Alice takes out her guards by surprise and kills them as they take her to the plane. She then grabs a torch and sets the Roses on fire, and says to herself that she and Safiyah both have nothing.
Safiyah sees the burning field and realizes what's happened.
Sophie sees the field burning. Ryan is there, and says that it's too late. She tell Sophie that her guard left her post, and she wasn't able to get a Rose to cure herself. Sophie says that they need to find Kate, and Batwoman tells her that Safiyah lied and Tatiana told her Kate was never on the island.
Julia shows Luke and Mary the reports confirming that Kate died in the crash. Batwoman's camera feed comes on, and the trio realize the Rose are gone. Mary stares in shock at what's on the desk next to feed.
Sophie tells Batwoman that they need to go. Batwoman says that she isn't going to make it in the few hours she has left, and there's nothing in Gotham for her. She asks Sophie to sit with her so she doesn't die alone, and Sophie does so. Sophie apologizes for their getting off on the wrong foot, and Batwoman figures it's because she wasn't Kate and takes Sophie's hand.
Luke calls Sophie on her cell phone, and asks Sophie to get Batwoman back to Gotham because he has a cure... as he looks at Ryan's plant from Angelique, that has sprouted a Rose.
In the sewers beneath Gotham, a masked woman wearing Kate's necklace sits in the darkness.
