I want to preface by saying I love seeing lesbian representation on this show and Amanda is the perfect character to bring that, however, Kirby is right in saying that she herself is just a "dumb model", that is the whole character, she ran her course seasons ago and has since lost all bite. Same with Culhane. Their contribution is non existent. Why Kirby isn't blackmailing the Carrington's is beyond me, and I would hate to see Amanda riddled down to "one half of the lesbian couple" since Kirby has no ties or connections to the story, Amanda would constantly have to share all her scenes with her in an attempt to keep her relevant, which we can see starting to happen now, and has happened with Liam. It's saddening to see how much filler Dynasty has, as nothing big happened this episode it seemed far more interested in being "funny" than dramatic. Dynasty was always meant to have comedic undertones with business and drama leading at all times, but recently its disheartening to see that switch occurring of comedy seemingly always being the most important thing. Dex and Dominique were absent, and since they bring a lot of the charm and drama to the show it's not surprising that this episode felt so empty. I have to say, I would much rather be learning more about Dex than watching Kirbys modelling and love triangle. I hope the show can refind its footing in the next episode...
