Almost real...

What may have started out as a romantic and naive houseboat endeavor is fun to watch all along but also twists into a chaotic money making scheme which we pay for with our Netflix subscriptions.

I would much rather like to watch to whole thing out of Max's perspective!

The two 'protagonists' never really lift a finger and come off hollow when acting out their construction scenes.

Quite a fun ride but don't let yourself be fooled.

Honest, entertaining documentary about an expensive dream
T-iam17 March 2021
There were many aspects I enjoyed watching this documentary. The camera perspectives look great and show Hamburg harbor from its best side. If you are familiar with Fynn's and Olli's music you will recognize the soundtrack as Instrumental-versions and I found myself singing the lyrics to a lot of it. The editing made for a couple of nice moments and laughs. Fynn and Olli appear as they are - humans with great qualities, but also negative traits. Both are frequently overwhelmed and exhausted by the project and feel the financial and emotional burden of it. But they also display passion, creativity and joy to create something out of almost nothing (although Max is the overall MVP). Some moments are clearly staged for the camera or Instagram, but whenever this happens it is clearly shown or referenced by somebody.

Every human being will probably have made a wrong or rash decision in their live, albeit without these financial consequences. But to seek help, persevere through the struggles and create something beautiful in the end, a place of connection and creativity, is an uplifting story to tell. Please keep in mind through all criticism that they spend their own money on this, and every individual is entitled to do so as they please (as long as they are not hurting anyone). This project truly means something to them.

If you enjoy Fynn's and/or Olli's current or previous work such as music, podcast, documentary or YouTube appearances you will likely enjoy this. Thank you, Fynn and Olli! I laughed a lot, shook my head here and there and overall had a great time.

A FANTASTIC JOURNEY!
emeraldjayne31 March 2021
This was a fantastic Journey... a wonderful distraction during the covid-19 quarantine!

The most interesting aspect was the difference between the ages of the musicians... severely different in their views of life, work, fun, etc.

But in the end they all took off their clothes and jumped in the water.... it is so refreshing to see a foreign film with no Botox, veneers, extensions or plastic personalities!!

They worked hard on this documentary and I hope that people understand that what they want to say is important... and to say it... film it... sing it.... It will always be enjoyable and people will always want to watch... something that came from your heart and your soul....

Warning: Spoilers
Do you know Colin Furze? He builds stuff, and he's really good at it. Now Fynn Kliemann is the German Colin Furze, kind of, but he's simply not that good. The fun you have watching his youtube videos is mostly due to the fact that he curses and fails until he sort-of kind-of succeeds.

Here, we don't even get to see that. Instead, we see Olli Schulz and Fynn Kliemann hire an army of craftsmen and Max. Max knows what he is doing and pours his soul into this project. In the end, everything works out and looks professional since it was done by professionals. Everybody's happy and proud - even though I don't know what Olli and Fynn are proud of.

Money (and the lack thereof) is a frequent topic. But it is never mentioned where the money comes from. The business model seems questionable - if it wasn't for the Netflix money they might have received for this.

So, if you want a houseboat, sell the idea to Netflix and then buy something that's rotten to the core. Then make a movie about how you shouldn't have bought it in the first place.

It's a bit like The Money Pit, except that movie was fun.
