Jim/Sams Lines

Warning: Spoilers
Instead of "You can't kill love" at the end right before they marry, Jim/Sam should have said "Love Never Dies" harkening back to Andrea and her brother.

Charisma Carpenter

Warning: Spoilers
As always, this John Gray episode was creepy and thought provoking.

Did I miss something? Charisma Carpenter is listed by IMDb as "Tammy". I watched this episode 3 times on TIVO and did not see her. Where was she in this episode?

Is IMDb wrong? Is she in the background of some scene?

*** Possible Spoiler *** The most likely would be the wedding shower, but I can't imagine and actress as popular as Charisma Carpenter would be given a bit part. Or worse be cast as an extra. I did not see her listed in the credits either.

I admit I am a big fan of Charisma Carpenter since her days on "Buffy" and "Angel" and would like to see her in more shows.

Vows and Books

Warning: Spoilers
Going back decades, weddings have marked major points in television series: "The Farmer's Daughter," "I Dream of Jeannie," and, of course, Luke and Laura in "General Hospital." The conclusion of S 4 of GW is no exception, with awaited marriage of Jim and Melinda.

I wish I could give it a higher rating, given its importance, but, unfortunately, with the incorporation of a buffoon wedding planner, the writers opted for humor instead of drama. Beyond that, there are the chronic absences which plague other episodes: missing are Mel's mother, Payne, the family of Sam's body, the mother of Jim's spirit (she did say Mel was "family.") This is barely made up for by the sudden appearance of numerous unidentifiable ghosts on the streets of New York City.

It really seems that the whole episode was geared for setting the stage for the plot line of the next season: the Book of Changes. And, while it does hold the spot light in S 5, it is forgotten as the attention shifts to the Shadows/Shinies story culminating in S 5 E 22.

The entire season 4 is filler

This show is drowning in family drama. I could care less. Gimme ghosts! Fight the evil sect of season 1, and the under-city cult! DO DOMETHING!

The state of the show is perfectly symbolised by the wedding-planner. Exeggarated useless stuff, overplanning on details none cares for, zero consideration on sustainability and budget.
