The film was made with Massline Media, the label for hip hop artists Blue Scholars and Common Market.
In the Blue Scholars music video for "Joe Metro," also directed by 'Zia Mohajerjasbi', the young white man boarding the metro bus is wearing an "It's Beef" t-shirt. This is a reference to Manoj. Additionally, this man is played by 'Toby Crittenden', who also played "Jeff" in Manoj.
The comedy club scenes were shot in the original Comedy Underground in Seattle. This club has since moved locations.
The headshot being pointed to by 'Carl Warmenhoven' is that of comedian Arj Barker who is half-Indian.
Was a finalist in the 2007-2008 Boston Motion Picture Awards.
