Trillions of dollars in national security and if there is ever nuclear war, the powers that be will be safe in their bunkers they built with your tax money while you die from radiation.
The journalism is not neutral, there is political bias and identity politics. The way it paints the victims of Waco is not with the same sympathy as the victims of Katrina. Matter of fact it didn't delve into the victims of the Waco massacre at all or indict the actions of the ATF whatsoever.
I would've liked it a lot more if it wasn't occasionally biased. The most important thing they don't tell you is that it is by design. The military industrial complex is not an accident. It's not mutually exclusive to one party. Obama was as terrible as Bush but they don't criticize the Obama administration, hmm.
They imply it is the government's job to protect people in the first place as if that is supposed to be its proper function, the creators of this content don't see the irony in that?

As the description of this documentary makes clear, as well as the listed speakers in the credits, you have all the information you need to avoid unpleasantness; if you like Trump, you should skip this. But if you're in the majority of US voters (in both elections, incidentally), you will likely find this fascinating and scary, while staying grounded in real information, not crazy stories about evil pizza parlors or Jewish space lasers. If all the people writing these bad reviews actually watched it despite it's clear agenda (and I don't think most of them have), you should read the program details more carefully. Just ignore the Trump bashing and look at the facts of what they do and plan to do. Remember Hurricane Katrina they went door to door taking peoples guns. The US post office is used to take pictures of your mail still. And opened and read, "Accidently damaged" they will say. Pay our taxes so the can spend the more for themselves not for the citizens. Where are OUR bomb shelters? Gone. Wake up people you are on your own. Riot now in France, Sweden, the Netherlands, Bulgaria and maybe in Canada I heard. Want to guess where their secret bunker are at? Look for very large runways where they shouldn't be with towns of small populations.

There is some truths spoken, but got too politicized against blaming Trump for corrupting everything in America but the military, which just isn't the truth and again the political propaganda the media continues to brain wash Americans with, meanwhile real life traitors in our White House, Senate, Congress are destroying this country with destructive policies and corruption of the FBI, DOJ and making their own laws, breaking laws and not justice has been done because their side owns the vote. This will create civil unrest and has already started, which no wars happened under Trump. Watched one episode. Leftist propaganda mixed in with lots of close ups of the nuclear football. Anti Trump to the point of slander. I don't like the guy's personality but this is ridiculous. Enough with the allegations of an unhinged man and what could he do... Then again, once in a while it's anti Nixon just for contrast. Writing this is in 2022 I say this hasn't aged well. I'm sure a third season won't dwell on a demented confused old man in charge of the football. I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to sit through even one more episode. Production is good enough technically, but the extreme bias kills any value this might have had. Too bad... don't bother.

I couldn't even get through the first episode. I don't care how you feel about Trump, the things reported in here were just ridiculous. The president does NOT have unilateral authority to begin a nuclear war. There is a process and chain of command. No president could ever, or WILL ever have the authority to decide to drop the bomb and then put in the code. Beyond stupid! The writer of this schlock should do some actual RESEARCH instead of listening only to the Lamestream Media. Also, using media that was not shot in the US when the subject is the US, is simply irresponsible. If you have a brain to think for yourself, this will be a huge disappointment.
It's kind of weird how this is rated 7.7 but only negative reviews. But the average politically illiterate lefty will love the republican bashing

What a shame because I was really looking forward to this. Shortly after episode 1 began they mention Eisenhower when it came to the doomsday plan. Then Nixon. Then Trump. But it gets worse, they paint Trump as some unhinged lunatic that had his sights set on ending the world and not giving one damn about it. Whatever your politics, this is nothing but a one sided hit piece where republicans are demonized, especially Trump.

I WAS WRONG! It's complete political bias. The producers of this wasted a great opportunity to inform only to end up fear mongering. In the 1st episode they talk about the US being at the brink of nuclear war during the Nixon administration and then jump directly to the Trump administrations but failed to mention the one time we came the closest to nuclear war during the Cuban missile crisis.

I think the secret bunkers, shadow governments, and abilities to suspend the rights and freedoms of the people is rather old news and public knowledge at this point, so I was hoping for a lot more than just a cursory breeze through of those topics so they dive into the, accurately named, Trump Derangement Syndrome. It very quickly went from a shallow and rather pedestrian look at things easily Googled, to comparison and insinuation. The incredibly short and chopped up interviews were mildly enjoyable and it may have been nice to the un-extremely-editted versions instead.
A very thinly veiled attempt. Goebbels would disappointed.
I would recommend the weather network over this, or better yet, for those still suffering from TDS, go outside! Touch the grass. Breath the air. Feel the sun.

This had so much potential- and things like this, that elites love to point to and say 'see? This is what your conspiracy theories look like!!', while ignoring factual evidence that things like MK Ultra, Operation Mockingbird, etc were all too real, and this type of thing is happening.
But left to the devices of Vice, it becomes an all-out attack on a single President (SuRpRiSe!! OrAnGe MaN bRoKe Us So BaD!!') and all but ignores the president who set this up, the remaining presidents who knew and know they'll be a part of the 'saved' therefore why speak out?

The show was doomed right from the start when the Vice logo appeared. Despite that, I attempted to keep watching with an open mind. Halfway through episode one I had to stop watching. Nothing but Trump bashing. Vice after all are part of the fake main stream media In America at present. "Too much whiteness In America" is their war cry as well as "orange man bad". Trashing Trump when he didn't start any wars on his watch and ending another war that was promised to be ended by Obama a decade previously speaks volumes. I feel asleep and Tubi auto play meant I woke up to this hysterical documentary which talked about how in the case of a major disaster the government had "secret bunkers" where "elites" would relocate in order to continue continuity of government (COG). It had me laughing out loud as it presented it like it's this huge conspiracy theory. Of course there's plans to ensure continuity of government! I would certainly hope we are planning for and have the ability to continue government during a wide range of disasters. And of course one strategy is to have COG capabilities spread around the country because different areas are prone to different disasters. So if one area is hit by a devastating hurricane, or whatever disaster, personnel in another part of the country can step in and take over.
I hate to break it to the filmmakers, but it's not some huge conspiracy. This info is readily available. All anyone needs to do is look at FEMA's website. Sure there's plans to make sure leaders such as cabinet members, Congress, and judges get relocated, (remember Jan 6?!) but relocation personnel also includes career civil servants that are hardly some "elite" group. This isn't some "shadow government," these are the elected officials and civil servants who serve the people every day.

All of the POTUS powers covered in this documentary are possessed by any POTUS's . This " documentary " (and documentary should be used loosely regarding this film) acts as if Trump created these special powers just because he's crazy. This film is just another attempt by a liberal to demonize Trump . I am sure another film is being created as I type, justifying how wise we are now ,that these same special powers are in the hands of the wise and just ( not senile of course) Joe Biden. Most of the clips in this film of Trump talking about using special presidential powers or referring to situations where special presidential powers may be appropriate or necessary, there is no context given in film regarding these exchanges with journalists. This film paints a picture of Trump randomly threatening to use special presidential powers . I remember some of these exchanges with "journalists " taking place at daily Covid press conferences where Trump is doing nothing more than honestly answering questions of "journalist " , yet this film chooses to take these exchanges out of context to make Trump appear in a negative light! So if you are a anti Trump person you will love this film.

The show is a good idea, interesting. But WAY too much left wing propaganda. It's a good enough show, if you can handle that. It's all stuff that we probably in our minds already know. That there are higher ups in society, the decision makers that will be protected at all cost. I mean, we do have to have a plan if things get really bad. But the show points out that we on paper, we have a plan, and that plan is on paper. The show points out that when things did get bad, our plans weren't executed all that well. But that is also understandable in chaotic situations. Again, good show, but Far left leaning.

I'm giving it 3, because the first 15 minutes were interesting. Then, it just fell apart. Not much to add to most of the other reviewers who nailed the absurdity of the Trump hatred being passed off as informative filmmaking. I will note that these people are so stupid, they can't even title the thing right. The "Shadow Government"? This whole show is about the presidency of the United States. If there is a shadow government, this show doesn't address it. The closest it comes would be to laud the wonderful, patriotic, unelected bureaucrats who agreed they would not follow the orders of the President. This is presented as admirable, while expressing outrage at how president Trump is "destroying the Constitution".
