When I read what the movie is about, I wasn't too enthusiastic, I'm a bit more into autumn themed hallmark romantic movies, but I was like w.e, I'll give it a go I guess.
It ended up being a sweet enough film even though the premise with the matchmaking guy is ridiculous, I mean someone organizing dates through headsets and whatnot, dictating at people what to say to score a date, making them into cyranoids is kinda scary, but it went away quickly, so I wasn't too horrified.
It was also really fun to look at design of the scenes and how funnily neatly organized they were, like food on plates being completely untouched and uneaten (but put on plates): (it's such a hallmark staple, very amusing), as well as filming various scenes at the same gazebo (like at least three, but i wasn't really attentive during the movie). As one of my friends said, it's possible that the designer has really bad ocd with how sets are organized, symmetrized and color coordinated, I guess it comes with the territory of churning out dozens of hallmark movies.
When they spied on their matchmakees (idk if it's a word) their disguises were ridiculously low effort it was really amusing, that's the land of hallmark. It's very obviously not about believably but wonderful sense of romance.
Main actress is likeable (and/or endearing), I wanted to see what other hallmark movies she did but it seems like there's only one which is disappointing, I'd watch her new hallmark movies if she decides to make any more of those. She reminds me of Hillary Duff and her love interest reminds of the guy from that tv show "Last man on earth".
