The Indian and the Samurai

Warning: Spoilers
The Indian and the Samurai is a delightfully warm and funny film that in just a few short minutes deals with a myriad of issues including family, cultural identification and being true to yourself even when your dreams seem out of reach.

A young Indian boy fixated on Japanese culture is happily surprised when a fully costumed, card-carrying Samurai ends up eating lunch at his family run restaurant/shop. The Samurai agrees to teach the boy his 'ways' but it doesn't turn out quite as the boy expects.

The characters are charming and sympathetic and the story is fresh and honest.

Interesting side effect, by the end of this film I was craving both Saag Paneer and Sushi...
