Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan in Cop Out (2010)

Goofs

Cop Out

Edit

Continuity

Towards the end of the film when Jimmy arrives at Poh Boys house during a "shoot out" he has a white bandage on his right forearm, despite not incurring any injury to his arm earlier in the film. The injury to his arm actually occurred in a deleted scene with a fight with a waitress in the restaurant where they went for translation help.
In order to push the tattoo artist for information, Jimmy holds a tattoo machine up to the artist's eye while they question him. During the close up shots of the artist the tattoo machine is directly in front of his eye but every time the shot moves to Jimmy and Paul, the tattoo machine is being held away from him.
When Paul and Jim are doing a stakeout from the beach (having some dialogue), there are different shots where Paul has sand on his face, and others where his face is clean.
At about 1 hour 4 minutes into the movie, an bird's eye view shot of Paul and Gabriela are seen lying in the bed. Paul is on the left. In the next shot, they look at each other and this time Paul is on the right.
When driving around in the Crown Victoria patrol car, the vehicle has LED lights in the grill, back window, and one dual light attached with suction cups in the front windshield on the dashboard. In later scenes, the dash light is missing.

Factual errors

More than once, Gabriela's necklace is referred to as a crucifix, but it is not. A crucifix is a symbol of Jesus on a cross. There is no Jesus on the necklace, so it is just a simple cross necklace.
It is said that Topps first modern cards were in 1952.

This is not true. Topps first cards were 1951 and they are not considered modern. Modern cards refer to cards printed from the late 1980s until today.

Anything printed before that is considered vintage.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Paul interrogates Raul, Raul breathes on the mirror-glass, so it becomes hazy. Some people think that Jimmy draws a figure in the haze on the other side of the glass, though his side must be dry, but before he starts to draw, he is seen breathing himself on his side of the mirror-glass.

Revealing mistakes

In the car chase sequence through the cemetery, Jimmy shoots out the back of the car and the assailants shoot into it, however the glass can be seen to only have one small hole in the middle of it.
When the kid car thief tries to leave the park, an adult is driving.
When both are riding in the car to sell off Jimmy's (Bruce Willy's) baseball card, Jimmy says that a particular baseball card was sold for US$83,000 in the market, to which Paul (Tracy Morgan) exclaims 'Eighty Three Thousand grand?' and Jimmy's response was 'Yeah'. 83,000/- grand equals to 8,300,0000/-
