Jemima learns that Sister Miriam was perhaps going to change her will, leaving her inheritance to people in poverty. Jemima encounters Sister Agnes, and experiences a scare in The Church late at night.
Jemima has to consider what she was told by Sister Lucy, could Mother Ansilla possibly have done the unthinkable and committed murder?
Maria Aitken is terrific here as Jemima, it's a quality performance, the acting here is quite terrific. For me, the highlight here was the arrival of the resplendent Sister Agnes, Susan Engel is something else, her character is calm, cool and elegant, but there's something almost sinister about her.
Overloaded with atmosphere, this is a great production, eerie music, skillful lighting and those wonderful scenes inside the church, it looks and feels so good.
Such a strong episode, but the one that follows, is off the scale.
9/10.
