- Leif: Hey, Zoey, you might wanna sit down.
- Zoey: How can I do that, you're in my chair.
- Leif: Right. I just wanted to talk to you as soon as you got in. You have to fire ten percent of the fourth floor today.
- Zoey: ...Huh?
- Leif: Budget cuts. They're making everyone do it.
- Zoey: Well I haven't heard anything. And Pam from Business Affairs usually gives me a heads up. Besides, I'm the boss, okay? I am in charge! And today... is a happy day.
- [Zoey's phone dings, she looks at it]
- Leif: Is that Pam?
- Zoey: It's Pam. And this day is sadly F*****.
- [light blue censor bar, electric guitar chord plays]
- George: [Right after Zoey fires him] But... it's okay. Like my abuela always said. 'Dar la vuelta a la tortilla.' Which means, you can turn any situation around. I mean, she couldn't. Cuz, she- she died, so, she couldn't turn that situation around.
- Simon: You got a massive hole in your heart that you just can't fill, and I understand that. But the good news is that eventually that hole will scar over. You can wear that scar like a badge of honor. And it won't define you; it'll deepen you, and you'll learn how to draw strength from it. Because scars are tough. They remind us of all the battles we fought and how we survived to tell the story.
