The family returns to the house, and find Scot out front. He offers his condolences about Erin's death and hugs Kinsey, and Nina comes out of Keyhouse and asks what everyone is up to. Kinsey says that they're helping Scot film for their sequel, and Nina says that she has to go. She asks Duncan if he's seen Erin, and Duncan tell his sister that Erin left when everyone was out, and is terrible at goodbyes and asked Duncan to thanks Erin on her behalf for everything. She tells Duncan that the deadline on renovating the theater is coming up fast, so she can't take a day off after WinterFest like everyone else.
After Nina leaves, the others plan how they're going to trap Gabe in the wellhouse. The others explain to Scot that luring Gabe into the wellhouse will destroy him entirely, and Duncan says that he can do more than just be the bait. Kinsey tells him that they need him as the bait, and she figures their plan will work because they have the element of surprise.
At Eden's dormitory, Gabe take out the Chain Key from where he hid it and tells Eden that first they'll find out what the Lockes know, then capture Duncan, take him to the cabin, and have him forge the Demon Key. Eden wonders why Gabe plan is so complicated, and Gabe points out the Lockes have Keys as weapons and to avoid the Keys, they have to snatch Duncan. She points out that the Lockes might already be onto Gabe, and he says that it doesn't matter because they can't match him. Eden figures that Gabe doesn't want to see Kinsey get hurt, and Gabe tells her to stop with the backtalk and she only exists to serve him. Eden quickly agrees when Gabe threatens her, and he sends her to get their "test subject".
Josh is in his office and looks again at the anonymous email saying they know who stole the bullet from Josh. He tells Jamie that he has to go check on a student and leaves. Once Josh goes, Jamie looks eagerly at the dollhouse.
Going into the dorm common room, Josh confronts Brinker and says that he got a tip that Brinker knows something about the theft of the bullet. Brinker denies it, and realizes that his teammate Javi sent the email to Josh as a practical joke. Josh threatens to have Jai thrown off the hockey team, just as Nina come in and sees Josh snap at Javi. Josh walks off and runs into Nina, who points out that he seems tense. Nina offers him a coffee she brought and suggests that they talk. Josh agrees, they go to a classroom, and tells Nina that something was stolen from him but it was just Javi pulling a prank on Brinker. He only says that what was stolen was a "historical artifact". He finally describes it and says it was passed down in his family along with his ancestor's journal entry saying the bullet came from an opening in a cavern, the Black Door. Josh figures the bullet is the key to opening the Door, and Nina figures that's why Josh came to Matheson. Nina admits that she also moved to Matheson looking for answers to a senseless tragedy, after her spouse died. She figures that Josh is looking for answers when there aren't any, and tells him that it's okay to lose himself as long as he finds himself again. Josh admits that he's not at the point where he can accept what happened to his wife.
In her room, Kinsey is pacing nervously. Scot comas in and says that he's set up, and she hugs Scot and thanks him for helping her. She says that she wants to be more than just friends, and they start to kiss. Duncan knocks on the door and says that it's time. Once Duncan leaves, Scot says that they should get to it and goes. Kinsey pulls him back and kisses Scot, and Scot kisses her back. Gabe and Eden pull up outside in Gabe's truck, and the couple inside see them arrive.
Kinsey goes out to greet them and Gabe asks where Duncan is. She says that he's upstairs in his room, takes Gabe's hand, and leads him inside. Duncan and Scot are watching from a window, and they warn Bode and Tyler via walkie. When they come into the house, Gabe claims that Eden came along because she wants to work on the movie. Eden and Kinsey play along, and Gabe asks where Erin is. Kinsey says that Erin is gone, and Eden asks where. When Kinsey says that no one knows, Tyler and Bode come in and Tyler thanks Gabe for helping find the Memory Key. Kinsey suggests that Eden help put together snacks for the crew, and Eden smilingly agrees.
Kinsey and Gabe upstairs, and Kinsey says that Duncan is going to help when he's done with his call to his fiancée Brian in Japan. Scot is upstairs supposedly setting up for the show, and thanks Gabe for helping out. Gabe notes that the rest of the Squad isn't there, and Gabe and Kinsey make excuses for their absence. Scot has Gabe take up his mark for filming,
Tyler, Bode, and Eden go to the kitchen to get snacks, and Eden grabs one of Duncan's beers from the refrigerator. She says that she's going upstairs to see what Gabe and the others are doing, and Bode convinces her to stay and watch his magic trick. She stays, and he does the Cups and Balls for her. Jamie uses the dollhouse to put a giant glass cup around Eden, as Bode and Tyler planned. Tyler goes to check on the others upstairs, while Bode stands guard on Eden who pounds in frustration on the glass.
Gabe, distracted by what he's wondering what's going on with Eden, looks away until Scot and Kinsey get him to focus his attention on what they're filming. Tyler arrives and secretly nods to Scot that their plan worked with Eden. Scot calls cut and Tyler apologizes for interrupting, and Duncan looks out of his door.
Bode taunts Eden, who tries to pound through the glass. She manages to crack the glass, and doubles her efforts, and Bode yells to Jamie to hold onto the cup.
Gabe asks Tyler where Eden is, and Tyler says that she's watching Bode's magic trick. Scot adjusts the lights, and says that he left his light meter in Kinsey's room and Tyler offers to go get it. Tyler opens the door with the Anywhere Key, to the wellhouse. A bird flies out the door and Gabe notices. Kinsey uses the Hercules Key to grab Gabe and force him through the door. Scot and Tyler help her, and Gabe sees the wellhouse on the other side of the door.
Josh returns home and finds her with her hand in the dollhouse. He pulls her hand out, releasing Eden, and notices the Small World Key. Josh takes it out, shutting down the dollhouse, and tells Jamie to go to her room while he works.
Gabe breaks free and slams the door shut, knocking the Anywhere Key onto the floor. He easily overpowers Tyler and Scot, and uses the Chain Key on Kinsey. Duncan comes out of his room and tells Gabe to let Kinsey go. Scot tries to grab the Anywhere Key, and Gabe easily takes it from him.
Bode tries to hold Eden off with a broom, but she takes it away from him and snaps it in half. As Bode arrives, Duncan tries to use the Matchstick Key. Eden arrives and knocks it out of his hand, and Gabe switches the chain to Bode. Gabe uses the Anywhere Key to take Duncan and Bode to the cabin, but shoves Eden back and says that they're done. Tyler grabs the Matchstick Key, while Eden refuses to cooperate with the others. Kinsey and Eden charge at each other, screaming, and they roll down the stairs, fighting. Scot runs down, and Eden breaks a photo and puts the glass at Scot 's throat, and tells Kinsey and Tyler to stay back.
At the cabin, Gabe tells Duncan's that the group's efforts were impressive, and shows Duncan the whispering bullet. Duncan says that he can't make a Key again, but Gabe says that he hopes it isn't true for Bode's sake. He squeezes the chain around Bode until Duncan gives in, and Gabe says that he'll let both of them go if Duncan makes the Demon Key. Duncan has no choice but to agree, and says that he needs to know Gabe's intention. Gabe gives him the bullet.
Tyler points out to Eden that Gabe just screwed her over, and doesn't deserve her help. Eden slashes Scot' s arm with the glass and runs out to the truck, and drives off. Kinsey tends to Scot' wounds, and they check Eden's jacket that she left behind. They find all the receipts for food Eden ordered, and the address where it was delivered, and the trio head for the cabin.
As Duncan forge the Key, he asks Gabe when the destruction ends for him. Gabe points out that Rendell opened the Black Door, and it's Rendell's fault that Gabe is there. When Duncan says that Lucas as funny and caring, Gabe says that he's funny and caring and it's all subjective. Bode yells that Gabe is going to be stopped, and Gabe points out the times the Lockes have failed to destroy him. Duncan says that he has to imbue the Key with the intention, and tells Gabe to shut up so he can concentrate of forging the key. When Duncan hears someone grunting in the nearby closet and wonders who it is, Gabe tells Duncan not to worry about it and make the Key. Gabe gives Duncan his knife to make the blood sacrifice, and Duncan does so and then pours the molten iron into the mold.
Duncan, Tyler, and Kinsey drive to the cabin, but re still ten minutes away.
Once the iron cools, Gabe smashes open the mold and takes out the Demon Key. He says that he won't release Bode until he has proof the Key works, brings a tied-up Javi out of the closet and inserts the Key into his back. Javi screams in pain and is possessed by a demon, breaks free of the ropes, and follows Gabe's orders to smash his head against the wall. Gabe finally tells him to stop, then tells Duncan and Bode that they're free to go.
Duncan and Bode run out, and Gabe tells Javi to kill them both. As Javi goes out, Duncan and Bode run through the woods and see Javi coming after them. They come to the road, and Duncan tells Bode that they have to split up, and Bode should continue to the road. Duncan runs off and yells to Javi, who follows him rather than Bode.
Kinsey, Tyler, and Scot arrive at the cabin's mailbox and Bode runs up to them. He tells his siblings what happened.
Duncan tries to hide, and Javi doubles back and clubs him repeatedly with a tree branch. The others hear Duncan's grunts, and Kinsey and Tyler send Bode to the car and go to help their uncle. Tyler knocks Javi back, who attacks Tyler and tries to break his neck. Kinsey knocks Javi away and runs off with Duncan and Tyler, and Javi recovers and goes after them.
The trio get to the car and get in, and Scot drives off. Gabe arrives, and Javi tells him that they got away. Going back to the cabin, Gabe tells Javi that they're going to make him some new friends.
